Its RMS. I have a JL vxi 800/8 and calibrated with a SMD DD1 plus. Although rated at 75w rms, all 8 channels put out 100w rms <1% THD using a 1khz test tone and a 3db overlap. The sub amp is a JL HD 1200/1 that I have set for 1000w rms with no overlap. It is powering two JL 12TW3. So total...
Well, that's significantly more $$$ but, I suspect you would get more features and tuning control with an aftermarket head unit. I have a TosLink going from the AMPPro to a JL Audio Vxi 800/8 and the system was tuned by a pro with the MAX. It sounds incredible.
I know this is an older post but I believe the r1 could only be used in Rams with factory amplifiers while the R.2 could be used in base systems as well.
I use the AMPPro and it provides a clean signal. My system sounds amazing. Assuming you are using the correct AMPPro for Ram, I would check to see if the dip switches are configured correctly and, if the radio is programed per the instructions. additionally, double check to see if the RCAs are...
Its there, it is actually behind the rear cab panel on the passenger side. The sub and enclosure are small and very little bass is produced by it despite it's absurd 3 voice coil set up...
It has nothing to do with the ANC. The cool term for this is called Helmholtz Resonance. Most vehicles experience this to some degree or another but 5th gen Ram 1500 is the worst I have ever experienced. It literally sounds as if my truck is going to shake apart or cause the dreaded rear window...
I
I would be too. I go into it knowing I will be replacing the factory system so I don't even want the premium factory gear but, this Built To Serve came with the Alpine. My friend's dad just wrecked his 2023 and said I can have the 12" screen out of it. So I am gonna look into getting that...
I always do aftermarket for audio. If you are serious about sound, I'd go that route. My Ram has the Alpine so it was easy to interface the aftermarket gear with the factory speaker wiring. If you're not to worried about Audio, then I'd just get a quality audio track and go listen to both at the...
Mine is a JL Audio c7 3-way front stage in Custom A-Pillars, JL Audio VXi 8 channel DSP amp, 2 JL Audio 12Tw3 on a JL HD1200. JL C3-650 (rear fill). I'm over 8k for gear and install supplies but I sound treated and installed it all myself. The system was tuned by a JL Audio rep with their MAX...
Boy, I hope you change that sub box sooner than later. Look as if the subs would be rubbing in the seats when down. I have the JL Audio stealthbox in mine and it has 2 down firing 12tw3 subs... sounds amazing!
