    Drove the truck in this morning and after about 15 minute with the air on the compressor kicked off on its own and wouldn't kick back in, I'm thinking its time for a new compressor. It's hard to tell but sounds like there may be a little noise coming from it.

    Update: So with the superchips towing tune set and the same load we headed out, the truck did tow a lot more comfortable then the first trip. I was able to maintain 70mph fairly easy on the flat and on hills could hold 65 or so without to much trouble. Although on a couple hills I floored it...

    Does ur truck reach same temp as mine? I've read before these motors run cool, but figured mine was getting warm enough to blow hot air. Atleast goin by be temp gauge. Easy enough to replace the thermostat though so I will try that.

    Ok guys never noticed this as being a problem on the cool days but now that we're getting some cold mornings my heater is not getting hot, warm at best. What should I check for? I attached a picture of the temp. Gauge after a 15min idle and and 15min. Drive to work this morning.

    There should be a sticker under the hood usually on the PCM that says something about being flashed or reflashed, I can't remember the wording exactly. But from my research most 5.9v8's from 99-01 have the death flash so even if you don't have the sticker it still could have it.
