What are you all using? I've been using these from Adams. Worked great for about 18 months but now seem to push the water around and not absorb it. Are these still good ones to get or is there something better out there? Or better yet is there a way to recondition them so that they absorb like new?

Thanks!

Have you tried cleaning them in hot water with a microfiber cleaner and no fabric softener? I have used the Adam's Cleaner here with good luck. I have used it on the house towels also. There are other companies that have their own version of microfiber cleaner.

My buddy owns this company, I've got his drying towel. It's fantastic, I can dry both my Ram and the gf's F150 back to back

Could be the result of how you laundry the drying towels. They make a "microfiber towel" wash used for drying towels that can be used in a clothes washing machine. The one I'm using is from Chemical Guys. I do not use a clothes dryer because of the residual left from dryer sheets. So far so good, my drying towel can dry my 1500. I use the drying towel once, and then laundry before reuse.

TotallyHucked, that "Suck up" looks like a pretty nice drying towel, maybe your buddy can offer us a group buy purchase price ?

Honestly I have 4 of the HF ones and they work surprisingly well. I can dry my 2500, my wife's Armada, and my son's Acura TL with 4 of them.

Just ordered one. I'll report back how good it is.
I probably shortened the life of my old ones by drying them in the dryer. Didn't use a dryer sheet but I'm sure it picked up the residue of them in the machine. Will start just air drying them.

I would suggest Chemical Guys Wooly Mammoth for a cheap but very effective towel. If you want a good towel then Microfiber Madness all day. I have a few for those cars with no protection on them. I use my Air Cannon to blow everything off.

I was told to air dry microfiber. The heat from the dryer makes them less effective.

Harbor Freight for the money, work awesome, machine wash and dry every other use, Have them for 2 years, still have excellent absorption.

It took me a while to find out dryer sheets have something in them that repels water. I now just air dry them.

I second the Chemical Guys Woolly Mammoth! Dries my entire truck and wife’s car in one shot!

As others pointed out I’ve had good luck with Adam’s overall and chamois. I’ve also used these (cleaning only in separate load on hot without softener):

They make bigger ones and different textures but I use 2 of these to dry. 1 over the whole truck like a chamois and then another pass with the dry towel. They are soft enough I can even do a dry wash if the truck is just coated in pollen.

Lot of good choices…. Let us know what you choose!
