Anyone ever deal with this themselves? The fan no longer comes on, even with air conditioning turned on.

TIPM rebuild time?

Can I still drive the truck? It’s hot that big mechanical fan on it so I can’t see why not

You need to check the fuses aswell as test the fan un plug it jump 12v to it see if it powers on if that and the wiring check out then yes its a tipm thing you can still drive it will effect nothing since you have a clutch fan your a/c will lack at a stand still thats all you may also want to un plug your tipm and check for crrosion on the pins.

Perfect. Thank you. Is there a fan control relay behind the grill too? Thought I saw something about that in a video

Certainly 1 speed. Not running at the moment though.
Appreciate the tips here. I’ll start checking things one evening this week.

Fan certainly works. Today it’s warm and was hauling the boat. It comes on and run so I’m not sure why the dang code pops up now. I’ll still check for corrosion on the TIPM connections etc.

Jason,

How many miles on your truck? I ended up changing out the cooling fan module at 150K. The head tech said they tend to crap out around 100K. Truck runs cooler now.

On my 2013 there is a dedicated relay for the cooling fan and it will pop that code if I pull the relay out. Might want to see if you have a similar relay on a 2011
