Need help! At wit's end.
That pictured timing light looks like it has the induction clamp for fastening to a high tension lead along with the positive and negative leads for the battery + and ground. Cut one wire to disable my truck- Which One ? (Theft Protection)
Pick any important relay, perhaps the ASD. Purchase a new one. Take the old relay's guts out while leaving the pins intact. Plug the dummy relay where the original was. Keep the good relay in the house.- Spamcan

Towing Hitch Replacement
I'd try to soak it with appropriate stuff and then see if I could get a hydraulic jack to push it out from either end. You'd have to make damn sure the base of the jack can't bend what it's braced on, though!- Spamcan

Loose oil filter
So, how would one "safe" an oil filter? Why..... with a stainless-steel screw-type hose clamp and an attached stainless cable/wire tied to some fixed nearby part of the engine (if it's mounted on the engine), of course! Did bad shocks make these tires bald?
Yeah, talk to this septuagenarian (sp?) who got the grand idea of replacing my 96 B2500's tailgate hinges (they lacked the bushings). I, alone, had to use a ratchet-strap to hold the damned gate up onto one side's hinge and then wrestle the other end onto it's hinge! I'll wager that rear gate... -

Intermittent severe loss of power, 8.0 v10
Similar problem on mine. It finally quit completely. Used the Sensor Tester Plus (CP 9080 abt $30) from Sunpro and verified the crank position sensor was inop. Ordered two from China. Removed and replace same.. started right up and is still going.- Spamcan

UPDATE: OK... had to know what the ASD (Automatic Shut Down) relay was doing... built a short break-out harness to insert between the vehicle's ASD relay socket and relay.. UPDATE: Placed a gage on the fuel rail tap... abt 50 psi running, and super-low leakdown after switch off. Re-started and after abt 10 minutes engine quit. Fuel pressure held steady at abt 48 psi.. Couldn't restart for abt 30 min. (Found blown 40A fuse labeled 40A Trailer. Probably my fault)...- Spamcan
