What did you do with your 4th Gen this week?
Not something I did, but wondering if anyone has had their oil change monitor reset on its own? Noticed it said I was at 100% when I was at 50 something. I have to go through too many screens to inadvertently reset it.- PA Ram

I'd be curious to know this as well. It has to be stored somewhere,because dealers can pull the info somehow. I replaced my evic with a 7 inch display, and my old evic reset sometime right before I swapped. I knew the exact mileage to program that into the new one and the new one had similar...- PA Ram

Additional UAQ/UAS Update Files 28.3/30.24/34.2
Pretty sure the service bulletins said that it had to be updated incrementally, with a minimum of 22.64. I updated to 28.3 and then 40.1 without issue. Only weird thing is when I am using XM radio and truck shuts off it defaults to 2nd set of presets 7 through 12 instead Of 1 through 6. Doesn't... -

BTW, alfaobd did not pick up the CEL codes. Had light on my dash and had OBD2 plugged in and it kept telling me there were no codes. I have a corded actual reader from previous vehicle and it found and cleared p0452 and then p0456 codes. Neither showed on alfaobd scan. Not sure if this is normal...- PA Ram

How many miles on your 4th Gen Ram
Just went over 61,000 this week on my 2017 Ram 1500 5.7. Original owner didn't put too many miles on it. Think it had 37,000 when I bought it in early 2022. So gas cap didn't fix the problem, I ordered a new ESIM and it came today so I pulled the old one off and am sure that was the problem. It rattles like a can full of rocks. New one doesn't make any noise when shaking. I reset the CEL and the gas cap loose warning. I am guessing it won't come...- PA Ram

Bought a new gas cap, LOL getting p0452 occasionally and now gas cap warning. Cheap fix if that's all it is. Working 3am to 3pm so no time to troubleshoot for another week or so. If that doesn't work I'll check hoses and wiring. Usually came on after fill up and I reset the cel and didn't come...- PA Ram

Sounds like it could be an issue with the remote start. I haven't programmed any fobs for my 2017,but I have a plug and play remote start with 4g LTE for phone app connection and had to send it back to the company I bought it from after I did initial programming so they could finalize...- PA Ram

Didn't do it today, but last week before I went camping I got new band clamps for my Flowmaster FlowFx muffler. I put it on 2 years ago and the pipes had moved slightly and when I tried to loosen the bolt they broke. I got Evil Energy band clamps and really like them. They cinch up real tight...- PA Ram

Yeah, one of the first things I did was replace all my interior bulbs with LEDs. I also changed low beams, reverse lights and cargo lights. Was thinking about getting auxiliary backup lights until I put led reverse lights. So much brighter.- PA Ram

I pay a lot for my Amazon,but I literally buy almost everything on there. I added footwell lights a few months back. Really like having them. Wonder why they put wiring there and even have a spot for them,but then don't put the cheap little lights in there?- PA Ram

If it makes you feel any better I checked my Nav and low and behold mine defaults to 15 as well. I haven't really messed with it since upgrading to 40.1 and updating the maps to 2023 so never realized the volume issue. Only seems to affect the Nav volume. I use Android Auto Waze for daily... -

That's odd about the volume. That was an issue on previous updates,but has been fixed by or before 40.1. I'd have to recheck mine,but I don't think mine defaults to 15. -

Yeah, I didn't use 28.3, I think there were issues with that release. Think most updates just fix bugs from other updates. 40.1 has worked flawlessly for me. I was on stock firmware from the 2018 it came from so I was way behind. Only issue I have is my radio main screen defaults to xm presets 7... -

You only need to be as high as 22.64 I believe. I think I used that with a map included just so it didn't screw anything up, then upgraded to 40.1 with same map pack and then did the 2023 map update -

So I finally finished my manifold on passenger side (2 broken bolts, 1 was flush). Didn't do driver side yet, will do that another weekend (no leaks or broken bolts). The original broken bolt stuck out a bit so I got a stud extractor bit and got that pretty easy. The other broken bolt snapped...- PA Ram

Halfway through changing my manifolds. Two broken bolts on passenger side. Got one out with an extractor (was sticking out quite a bit) and one broken flush. So I got a template to make tapping out easier. I gave up just before sun went down. Couldn't fit a drill to get the broken bolt so used...- PA Ram

I have a flowFx on my dual out 2017 Hemi and absolutely love it. Also have kn cold air intake. The flowFx is pretty mild compared to the outlaw I had on my 2005 Ram hemi.- PA Ram
