I want to order method 701 in matte black to replace mine. I really like the bronze color too. Unsure on 17x8.5 0 offset or 17x9 -12 offset. My current are the Mickey Thompson in 18x9 -12 so I’m leaning back to the -12 so it’ll sit the same. Just can’t bring myself to get rid of these. Those...
Yes. The 4” and 6” use the same crossmembers. I have since redacted that idea. My truck has stayed at the 2.5” lift height. I have no real need to lift my truck 6-7”. It’s a dirt road/woods truck. I don’t do rock crawling. This setup has never let me down.
On a stock truck with a leveling kit or upgraded coil overs. I’ve had zero issues with the stock CV binding. I had the truck jacked up off the ground with no swaybar connected wheel turned to the stop and had zero binding in the CV. If I push the Suspension a half an inch past the coil over...
I also tossed around the idea of using the onboard air with a regulator set to 30 psi to pressurize the water tank so no need for a 12v water pump. Saves wiring
I was debating on using 4” or 6” pvc tubes to make water tanks in whatever length I need and can use a threaded fitting to connect a 12v rv water pump to it. Was debating on passenger side or spare tire location but leaning towards passenger side if I ever get around to it to counter the fuel...
Did you remove the shutters? Factory these trucks tend to run up to around 216°f due to the shutters. Even with the 203° tstat. If you have a rebel or a non 8 speed truck they did not come with the shutters.
Yup. Generally if the front diff goes bad it gets swapped as a whole because up until very recently nobody has made replacement gears. so the only option was a new front diff. Now there is 1 company who makes replacement gears. Can you share a video if the noise? Could be bearings or the gears...
I would imagine you could talk to the dealership to add the package. It may be a bit more expensive but you’ll know you’re getting the same parts as your current truck.
Steering angle sensor is actually in the clockspring I think. My BIL has the snap on scanner. He said his can for sure reset the steering angle sensor but I have to find time when he’s not busy and I’m not busy
Look into installing the factory remote start. It’s a new rf hub and programming with Alfaobd. Very simple. Then just need to program the keys to the rf hub. Or take it to the dealer if you don’t feel comfortable doing the programming. I do not think You will not be able to drive the truck...
Looks like mevotech or dorman are listed as the better ball joints. Honestly I would replace the whole lower myself just to use the factory bj given your truck is 9-10 years old and the bushings could get swapped just as preventative maintenance. I wonder who manufacturers the factory bj anyways.
Still has stock wheels? No spacers? I’d wager you got some bad luck than. Also moog has a top tier and a lower tier but their stuffs actually not all that good either way. Try looking on rockauto. I personally would try another stock ball joint since it got you the farthest in the first place...
