Since the buyback was already in progress, Chrysler took it back.

    Gears....VERY frustrated!

I've never seen it personally but I've heard the same thing about grinding the case. I can't see it being any different than clearancing a 350 Chevy block for a 400 crank.

    Pop Quiz 4 Answer

I would have bet my forum membership that nobody would have figured this one out (good thing I didn't, huh)? Then again I didn't count on Paris bringing in a ringer like her husband, Scott. The culprit was the 3+ pounds of keys, keychains and other junk on the key ring. When a hard stop was...

    Fuel leak from hell

I'm having a hard time believing that many keys are failing. I'd start looking at the Wireless Control Module for a possible problem. There are 3 different companies that make them for Chrysler and they're known to fail more often than the keys themselves.

Pop Quiz 4 - The Hardest One Yet...HINT ADDED.

Nothing to do with the seats.

Pop Quiz 4 - The Hardest One Yet...HINT ADDED.

Nope. This theory makes sense to a point. Keep in mind that the vehicle was in several times and the odds of it being low on fuel each time are pretty slim.

No, but thinking way outside the box is the key to this one.

Pop Quiz 4 - The Hardest One Yet...HINT ADDED.

No, but that would have been hell on the transmission!

HINT: If Mrs. Smith had brought the van in for service herself, the problem could have been duplicated and found even without her along for a test drive.

Pop Quiz 4 - The Hardest One Yet...HINT ADDED.

Although I wasn't personally involved in this one, it's too good not to post up. The cause eluded the technicians involved, tech support, the regional technical advisor and even Chryslers engineers. During the final test drive on the day Chrysler bought this vehicle back, the problem was finally...

MDS Operation - A Brief Overview

I believe the thinking behind this is that while the engine has to work to compress the air trapped in the cylinder, it also pushes down on the piston once it goes past top dead center and helps create power.
