4.7, 2wd, CAI, exhaust, 87 SC tune
My overall average for my 10704 miles of ownership has been 16.07. I use fuellog app for tracking this.
I just did my first tank with all the mods and mostly highway miles and i got a new tank best of 19.27.
My worst tank value was the tank right after the...
If this really is a "custom" laser cut then that should only be some programmig changes to make smaller mesh. Someone might want to ask him if he can change up the laser path.
Lol, I've done the muffler and cai. Just picked up the tuner and did the 87 tune. First tank of gas with the tune was my worst MPG tank yet. :) ......but it was fun.

I paid less than $100 for the muffler and the extension pipe for the shorter muffler that I installed. Then $180 for the muffler shop to run split duals out the back plus weld the parts I installed.

The white hood you see is the recirculation door. So its an air input to the system. It moves so that air can come from outside the cab (the cowl) or from inside the cab (recirc).
The blower motor is below the filter and sucks the air through the filter.
See the arrows on the door, the...
I posted an exploded view and some other pics in this thread of the 3rd Gen HVAC.

There should be a drain under the evap core so make sure it's clear and draining. With that you can use fluids to help as it should drain out...
Popping back into this one to post the parts used for the job.
I found some Dorman u-bolts that I ordered through Advance Auto part number 35622.
Measurements
1/2" - 20
3 1/2"
7 1/2 "
They fit perfectly so now I'm back on the road with the lowered and Air Lift bagged Ram.
I'll...
I see on ikeyless.com an uncut transponder key. Look like a key with chip but no remote buttons. $17.95. You need two keys to program it or will need to have the dealer do it.
This was under 2008 dodge ram.

Ok here's some pics:
This the the bottom half of the blend door system. The heater core is sandwiched between this and the top half below.
Top half of the blend door system.
Ok so this is a pretty complex blend door system. You would typically do the blend with half as...
I paid around $125 for a second key and programming at a dealer. Only got one with the truck also. I called a number of dealers and price shopped. Found one about 15 miles away in a small town that doesn't seem to take raping the customer as their primary purpose. The others wanted $175+...
Moving the air from defrost to vent to floor is the mode door. So you could still have a blend door issue.
I have some photos of a 2006 unit which is made by Denso here at work. Ill see if I can post some when I get home tonight.

The recirc door and the blend door are different.
The recirc door is used to pull cabin air in and recirculate it. So in extreme hot/cold you pull in the already conditioned air from the cab and run it through the HVAC again. When this is not in recirc you pull air from the cowl, condition...
Well went back to the garage today to putz around putting the truck together. THe measurements I had above were tape measure and a reference for rod diameter based on nut size. (Hmmm that's an interesting phrase :) )
Anyway I found my calipers and decided to measure twice order once. And...
I've looked through a few autoparts websites and most carry the Dorman line for u-bolts and Dorman didn't have any that lined up with the size.
Not sure what axle i have as it's an 08 2WD but it's 3.75 in diameter where the bolts go around.
I found some sites where you key in the...
Well my next project underway is some airlift air bags on the rear. So with a lowered Ram and the axle on top of the spring you have to use an extra piece that goes under the axle mount. So now my ubolts are too short as I'm not getting full engagement of the nuts. So I need some new ones...
I would suggest you plan on doing this is smaller steps, a few times and going slow not full coils. You can't put back what you cut off. :)
I don't have my numbers handy from my 08 Front but I did 1/4 circle (~4-5 inches in length) and it was probably close to 1" drop.
Hopefully someone...
You should try google and search Dodge Death Wobble. You'll get a few hits and many are from stock vehicles. I think I remember some youtube videos too.
Here try this one.

I had a 2nd gen that this developed on. I always heard the top fuel dragster guys talk that when they would get the tire shakes that it would shake so hard they couldn't see.
Well that was my Dodge. It was a completely stock 2nd gen with 200k. BUt I had gone through all the suspension...
I'm using fuellog now. Multiple veh, easy entry, stats and graph.
Enter odometer, gals and cost per gal. Scary to see the fuel cost total for all entries.
Was using mileage something but they did an update that removed the graph feature and deleted all my data....so I responded by deleting...
Filter direction is important for some filter types that don't have an edge all the way around them. Most have a defined edge only on two sides and open pleats on the other two. You want the airflow to expand the outside pleat against the housing. If reversed the airflow can colapse the pleat...
My 08 quad 2WD 4.7 has gotten a best of 18.10 and worst of 13.85. My average is 16.07. This is based on fillups and logging in a droid app. This has been over 9305 miles and 169 days...so lots of highway. I'm now at 25k miles.
So yours does sound low.

Two people :)
I got mine out by myself but it was a PITA and I wouldn't recommend it. Got the wifey to help put it back.
I had mine out for seat heaters. I would highly recommend...especially if you have them out.
A lot of the OEM parts catalogs online will have illustrations.
https://www.moparpart.com/dodge-ram-1500-parts.html
Go here. Drill down to your vehicle. Drill down to a part. Like lower control arm balljoint. Next to the price will be a button for illustrations. This will pop up a...
I just did one see some info here:
http://www.ramforum.com/f49/planning-some-interior-mods-9925/
I haven't quite finished it as I plan to put an outlet in the dash and that's not done yet. As I have saved/unused vacation I'm off for the rest of the year when added to the holidays so...
