2004 1500 4.7 Sudden AC failure
Tuesday AM the AC was cold. Left work, turned on AC and it blows hot with an oily smell. I'm guessing evaporator core. Anything else I should look at first? How much can I expect for the job at a reputable mechanic? I am fairly handy but the size of the project is a bit intimidating if it means...- Jdchambersjr

Weekend lights project on 2004 1500 Quad

Tranny Code P1794 fixed
For the past 5-6 years on my 2004 1500 Quad Cab 4.7 whenever I would drive in rain or go through a car wash, I would get a couple of hard shifts between 1st & 2nd and then the tranny would throw a code P1794 (which is a speed sensor fault).
