Yeah. I hope I can find an m1 in the next few months. I'm probably just going to wait and eliminate the gasket by changing the intake.

No I don't. I saw a few people talking about the sct tuners. Haven't done any research on it yet. Where can I find the m1 with all the bolts and gaskets along with it?

Might just get the airgap and eliminate the whole gasket. It's expensive but probably worth every penny. You all are definitely providing fantastic feedback.

OK. And is there a detailed how to anywhere? The people at hughs said they had one but it left a lot of questions in my mind.

Wow his escalated quickly. Yes I'm new here and new to Dodge but I know how to wrench a little. I just didn't want to be caught with my pants down. I've heard people say use the hughs kit. I just want to be sure that if I replace it. I won't be doing it again in 2,000 miles. So hughs kit with...
Alright so I know there is a sticky on this. But how hard is it to actually do. I'll be doing the hughs engine kit.
I've been reading a lot about it and it doesn't seem to bad. Was just going to take my time and start early.
Any suggestions or help is appreciated.
I know you said you tried getting codes. You need to take it to autozone or buy a scanner from Amazon and catch the code as it comes up. Then it will be easier to diagnose. First thoughts are a sensor. Could be iac. Tps. Who knows.

Maybe throttle positioning sensor. Had this problem with a Pontiac. Crazy Idle and it would want to die if I tried to floor it.

Yeah. I adjusted the little latch deal and tightened it down. Now you can't hear it hardly at all but it's still there. Going to go to autozone soon and grab that part.

Lmao. Vapiper.. Lol
I never noticed that felt thing on there you know that. I need to go look. I bet it's not there.

Doesn't affect the Idle at all. Makes me think it's just the air filter since it's a k&n air filter. I'm going to run back through all the vacuum lines but in fairly sure there's no leak.
Going to post a video soon so you guys can see.

Anyone know where I can find pictures and some sort of walk through or video for 5.9L v8. 1999 Dodge ram 1500
Any help is appreciated.

not trying to hijack your thread, but i have the 5.9L v8 and i also have the same code. i had a cylinder 6 misfire and a random misfire code as well but it turns out that was a loose spark wire.. now i just have the p0302 code. Thinking it may be an injector, but i have the cap and rotor ready...
Perfect. that helps me a ton, i have a repair book and i highlight everything that has to do with my vehicle since it talks about diesels and other versions as well. Thank you guys.
