    Cubby hole light

I did mine in green LED, 1 for the cubby and one above the drink holders. Just the right amount of light and matches the factory dash lighting too

    Bilstien 5100/4600

With a large rubber mallet, you can tap on things to try and find the certain rattle you hear in the cab. Exhaust system, loose shock tubes, worn bushings, loose brake calipers....

What did you do to your Gen3 today?

Installed a double DIN JVC head unit, Axxess CHTO-02 adapter, and green LEDs for the cubby and drink holders. The sound is incredible.

    Blistein 5100s?

What I bought and installed last week are Bilstein 24-186063. These are for the 2500 2WD truck. It is just longer than the 1500 shocks and great Bilstein ride quality. If someone tells you that you don't need shocks, smack them. My leveling kit raised the front 1.5 to 2 inches. The old...

    Bilstien 5200s

Found Bilsteins for the Ram 2500 2wd on Amazon. After research on several forums, I have the answer. 24-186063 front shocks for 2500 2WD. Excellent fit and ride quality.

    Which shocks?

did you choose a shock? I am looking at Rancho RS5373. From what I read, it is works with the 1.5-2" height increase.

    Bilstien 5200s

So as I have more time to address minor issues with my new to me Ram 1500, I found out I have a Traxda front leveling kit. These are spacers on top of the coils. This kit does nothing about the shocks. I think the shocks max out over speed bumps and raised railroad tracks on the downward...

    2008 Rust Over Rear Tire

Last weekend I got out the hose and sprayed the underside of the truck, up in the rear fenders, front fenders, cowling, backside of the bumpers, the channels under the cab, inside the tailgate, and the door drains. I have only had it 3 weeks so I don't know too much about prior driving but...

What do you think of these deals

It came with the truck when I bought it so I can't compare. Seems to be good quality though. Just sold my Jeep this weekend so now I can focus on really checking out my Dodge. As far as how it runs, I dig it. I am going to guess there is little difference between K&N and this Spectre...

What do you think of these deals

Something I read over on the Dodge forum about Hemis with the dropped 4 cylinders when cruising for better mileage.... It says that the factory uses a massive muffler to hide the "fluttering" noise that is obnoxious, when the 4 cylinders are not firing and are just basically pumping air...

What do you think of these deals

nice rumble at start up, very little resonance inside, not obnoxious on the highway. I looked under it, it is single in dual out, stainless tips, exiting the back just under the bumper. I didn't install, it came with the truck and I have owned it two weeks. Years ago I had a single in/out...

What do you think of these deals

I love the Flowmasters on mine. Nice growl, and when you stomp on it, along with the whine of the CAI, people notice. Just this morning I blew pasts a vagina car Prius that was limping along at a green light. And the sound it makes shifting 1st to 2nd gets the wifey hot.

    Ram purchase

keep in mind Hemis drive a higher price on the used market, disproportional to the Hemi option when new. Try to drive down the price on any flaws you find.

Best way to prevent dash crack?

a tint installer buddy showed me a tint the other day, it is 70%, meaning very little darkness, not really noticeable. It cuts the UV and heat by 40%, he does the entire windshield. About $100. But I use my sun shade almost always, and thinking about the custom fit ones for $35-$40.

I dig it. I want to do the cup holders too. I am thinking orange or green.

    Manual transmission owners thread

I really wanted a manual, but very few out there. There was a quad cab manual in the middle of the state, offered by a Stealer, way more than blue book plus Stealer fee. So I bought mine with auto, everything else I wanted and low miles. I figure I can always convert it to stick. I think...

What did you do to your Gen3 today?

Clay bar'd the top of my front fenders last night. I thought it was the clear coat failing, it was just contaminants. Now the are smooth and look almost new looking. Then waxed them. Installed window vent shades too.

    Rattling door lock knobs

I noticed the seat belt height adjusters make some noise, the sliding piece against the panel. There are all sizes of adhesive backed foam and felt, even the kind that has short brush like material. Sliding glass doors use it. Most of it is cheap, and you can cut it to whatever thickness you...

    Loud Intake

then probably there is nothing wrong. Just normal with the filter change to something other than standard pleated paper. Maybe the design of the filter is making turbulent air and causing noise. check all your connections and fittings to make sure air isn't being sucked in where it shouldn't be.
