I'm debating on getting either a 2nd or 3rd gen, the 3rds (from what I know) have better trannys then the 2nds but they also rust easier. The 2nds don't have the best tranny but shouldn't rust as easy in the fenders and they are also cheaper. Is it worth waiting and keep saving money to get a...- MRcummins831

Hey guys I'm new here, I am looking to buy either a 2nd or 3rd gen Ram. I see a lot of 3rd gens that have rust on the fenders. Is this common? Is the steel/metal just not very good or what is going on? Also what are some good ways to prevent this. Thanks- MRcummins831
