Great time there. It seems like these trucks are really hauling now that trans tuning is available. I'm mulling over doing HP Tuners because mine is a 14 and Diablo is still trying to get it to work.
The easiest thing to replace is going to be a thermostat, and they're cheap. It's also the most likely thing to have failed.
Buy a new one and test it. Get a thermometer and a pan and boil some water with the thermostat suspended in it. Measure at what temperature the thermostat opens to...
Just a thought here, but wouldn't it make more sense to have the ball joint bolted in from the other side? It would produce less upper control arm angle.
I'm looking to trade my axle out of my 2014 Ram R/T with the Illicit Customs no cut lowering brackets ($500 new) for an axle out of a 2009 or 2010 truck. Depending on what you have I'd want a little bit of cash on top of the trade.
My axle has about 77,000 miles on it. Virtually all of them...
Yea, that's sort of my concern.
Realistically, being a liiiittle bit off on the hole drilling isn't going to affect the position of the control arm that much.
My plan is to measure and mark up the axle with some exactness and then drill it.
Yea, and this is in addition to all the crap I've had dropped on me at work. Yaaaaay....
Fortunately, I'm newly single, so that allows for some more time and money to be spent on the vehicles.
Not on the truck unfortunately... Hopefully I'll have an update later this week though.
Been a little busy with the Vette... Rebuilding the motor and doing a few other things.
Got the brackets in, but my shop is currently full of Corvette so I haven't had the chance to install them yet. The goal is to get them done before next week...
First off, you can stop using my name, thanks. If I wanted it posted everywhere I'd have put it in my username.
Secondly, you appear to be correct about the transfer case location. I must have gotten confused with a different truck or the Jeep 8-speed. Not above admitting I'm wrong there...
