peel and seal has no purpose of being inside an automobile at all. the smell under the heat and it has almost no noise suppression properties at all. It's kinda like a sugar pill that will make you sick all the time you think its helping you.
I may have come across here in the beginning as an a$$ because of my strong opinions on certain topics but I'm not a bad guy. And I have been seriously into mobile audio for about 30 years or so. You do realize that you're a really short drive from me. I would love to get together sometime and...
You're welcome. This even applies to a 2 way active. I never eq until I get all my crossover points and slopes in line. I actually run my mids up to 1.8 and my tweets pick up at 3.2. The slope on both crossover points will fill in the gap. I only eq out a spike or dip outside of the passband...
he needs to figure out the coil configuration of the subs They're available in svc 4 or 2 ohm.. the amp is 4 ohm stable bridged not 2 ohm stable. it's rated at 1400 watts bridged at 4 ohms. the issue is that there is only 50 amps of fusing. I would be shocked if that amp does 600 watts in...
How are the crossovers set on the amp? You can have twice the rated power on tap and still not blow a sub. I have 150 watts on tap for my tweeters and they're not blown.
I have been eyeballing the 8's for quite some time. they are beastly looking but they don't have the typical ts parameters of most 8's that are on the market. they have an fs of 24! :jawdrop:
The Sundown Subs are a really good value. I have used several and I was very happy with them. here's another sub to consider.
TC Sounds Epic 10" DVC Subwoofer
I would best describe TC subs as sq on steroids.
Sundown is a great example. Jacob is a true audio guy. Sundown amps are made in build houses but Jacob knows exactly what he wants when he has them built. They aren't pre-built run of the mill build house amps with his brand name thrown on the outside. I would own a sundown amp in a heartbeat...
Ok...I don't want to insult what is working for you guys but I would be happy to explain why I feel the way I do. The owner of skar is a spoiled brat with a rich daddy. Daddy gives spoiled brat son money to start a company. Up til this point I might be jealous. The problem I have is that he has...
I have basically the same truck with the 6 speed and I only get 10.5-11 in the city. No mods at all. I think I drive it like an old man most of the time and the mileage is horrible.
I have actually used them before and I really liked them but they need a lot of power. Compare the efficiency and xmax of the Dayton vs the SSA Dcon. trust me the SSA isn't an spl sub. They sound great. You'll move a lot more air with the SSA than the Dayton with less power and they sound really...
