Low beams flicker off and on

Use a continuity tester to connect the low beam hot wire to a good ground and see if it flickers. If it doesn't flicker then you know for sure that it's on the ground side.

Those kinda look like they've got the offset for a front wheel drive car.

tell me i still have time..

Pretty much all of it. There'll be fluid in the cooler and the lines to the cooler but everything in the actual tranny dumps. I guess you might manage to save a quart or two in the pan if you are careful about how you lower it down from the tranny.

    1997 Ram 2500 V8 - no start after Plugs/Wires/Cap/Rotor change

That's not a fuel line, it's a vacuum line connecting to the manifold air pressure sensor that is just behind it in this pic and has an electrical plug connected to it. The only fuel lines in the engine compartment are the one connecting to the driver side fuel rail and the one just to the...

    1997 Ram 2500 V8 - no start after Plugs/Wires/Cap/Rotor change

Look back a few? I quoted his post. But yeah, that's what I did.

    1997 Ram 2500 V8 - no start after Plugs/Wires/Cap/Rotor change

Mine was that way when I first started working on it. Was running fine, changed the wires one at a time and it was still working, pulled all the wires off to do the plenum gasket and when I put it back together it wouldn't run anymore. I probably pulled those wires off and put them back on...

    No Reverse-1998 1500 Ram

Nine quarts? 2.25 gallons of transmission fluid? Seriously? As for the reverse not working, first thing I'd try is making sure the rear band is adjusted correctly.

    360 v8 sounds like a tractor

Don't bother with the fuel filter, it is attached to the fuel pump inside the tank so it is not easily checked or replaced. The sound you describe is probably because one or more of the lifters are not getting enough oil pressure to stay pumped up.

Heating air conditioning stuck in defrost mode

I recently did the same thing and had the check valve backwards which caused the vents to stick on defrost.

1996 Dodge Ram 5.9L ECM Issue

Does your truck even have an EGR valve? My '95 has one but I thought those went away on the ODBII trucks.

    connecting cab to topper

It is called a "boot" or "camper boot" and you should be able to find one at any RV dealer or RV supply website. They are normally used with slide-in campers but can also be used with toppers.

    Floppy gas pedal

My throttle feels exactly like he describes, and replacing the cable didn't make any real change. One of these days I'll climb back under there and do something about the tension. Zip ties sound like a good idea for it.

    heater issues...

Aluminum is good but copper is better. Copper conducts heat faster and more efficiently than aluminum so it absorbs more heat from the hot coolant flowing through. An all copper unit would be too expensive and isn't really necessary but copper tubing with aluminum fins works well.

Buying filter/gasket for 46RE trans - Felt filter?

I like Wix filters and FelPro gaskets. When I changed mine last month I also replaced the pan with a deeper (extra capacity) model that has a drain plug in it. Maybe next time I will, for the first time in my life, manage to get more of the old fluid into the bucket than I spill on the floor.

New guy! need advice on a 99

A bad crank sensor can cause all sorts of problems including failure to start at all, but I'm not sure that being slow off the line is one of those issues. The good news is that it's not all that difficult to replace. Annoying to reach back there, but not very difficult. The O2 sensor is an...

    Help! Gauge face

Speedo is the only one you really need and you can use a GPS or smart phone to see how fast you're going. Fuel guage is useful too but if you just stick the needle on you'll at least be able to tell when it gets low. Don't let it get too far down and you shouldn't have to worry about running...

no oil pressure according to the guage

I've always been told that a mechanical gauge is the only way to get the actual pressure. If the 318 is like the 360, the pressure sending unit is on the top rear of the engine next to the distributor and in a perfect location to be damaged if you tilt the front of the engine up like you say.

    5.9 exntended crank time?

Retrieve engine codes through the radio? I admit that I'm new to Dodge but I've never heard of being able to get the codes that way. Try turning the key on and off 3 times (on, off, on, off, on) within 10 seconds and count how many times the CEL light blinks. It should blink, pause then...

    2000 Ram 1500 stalling problem

I was having a similar issue on my '95. Turned out that the wires to the coil had fallen down and melted onto the exhaust manifold.

Sometimes a pipe will make noise like that if it has a leak such as a cracked weld. Maybe just coincidence that you noticed it after doing the other work.

    Timing Chain Ram 1500

If you had the marks lined up and the engine runs without tearing itself apart then the chain itself is installed correctly. If you really want to confirm, pull the dist. cap and compare the TDC marks on the front pulley to the distributor markings for cyl 1.
