Yes sir. That's precisely what they said happened. I probably would have tried clearing it with the Diablo if I didn't notice it. Thanks for the input.
MY CEL was on when I took delivery of my truck after the recall flash. I went back to my service advisor and he had my truck in and out in a flash, (pun intended). Appaenty, all they did was clear the code. It hasn't come back on since.
Interesting. According to the link, I posted below from C&D; bone stock a 2015 Ford F-150 Platinum 3.5L EcoBoost 4WD SuperCrew does 0 to 60 in 5.6, and the 1/4 in 14.4 @ 95. Comparably, the 2015 Ram 1500 Laramie Longhorn Limited 4x4 Crew Cab did a 7.4 0 to 60 and the 1/4 in 15.7 @ 88.
So...
I know it sounds pretty rambunctious in the video. For being the least restrictive, straight through design, they offer, it's not so much drone, but a low roar to me from comparing what I've had in the past. The drone goes away when I give it full throttle.:roflsquared:
He probably got on it late after the Eco had a good jump. He let off of it first too. I'd be interested to see what would have happened from a dead stop. Probably the same thing. The Ram would have slowly walked away with THIS Ecoboost.
Should have known better to let someone else borrow my truck. He said afterward, the guy said it was an Ecoboost and complimented the sound of the Ram. My buddy said he saw in the mirror the Eco floored it and that's when he responded. The Ram reeled him in and started gaining at the end. I just...
No more "one" wheel peel my friend. While I haven't fully tested the limited slip after the install (intentionally doing a burnout), I'm willing to bet instead of the one wheel peel, now I can get two roasting if I wanted. Before it was just ridiculous with the open diff. Even with the 3.21's...
That's because I ran it in 4WD because that run was before Matt hooked me up with a limited slip differential. I haven't tested since the limited slip.
Thanks for the idea's Matt! I will test next time down a hill with a strong tail wind blowing and see if I can get my times down into the low 5's! Wheel spin should't be an issue since you hooked me up with that limited slip!:naughty::)
Seriously though, I do need to get to the track. I'm...
8 speed most definitely. The 8 speed has a stronger first gear than both the 6 speed in both 3.55 and 3.92. 3.21 8 speed first gear ratio of 4:71 vs. the 6 speed 3:1.
I'm no gear head by any stretch of the imagination, and if I'm wrong about this, I will take my medicine.:roflsquared:
I can say the canned 91 tune gave me an average of mid 6's 0 to 60. The custom tune from Jay Greene cut about a second off to mid 5's 0 to 60.
You can see my trucks configuration below, which makes it that much more impressive, considering the steel step bars, hard tonneau cover, full street...
I'm in VA and just had my dealer install an OEM limited slip. They quoted me $490 for the install, but ended up being $620. A price I could live with, and was willing to pay to have my warranty remain in full force and effect.
Definitely check different dealers. I had no such issues. Good luck!
I did the classic CAI, exhaust and custom tune modification. Took around a 7 sec. 0 to 60 truck to a 5.6 second 0 to 60. Highly recommend.
Let me say this. I recently contacted Moes Performance to purchase a limited slip. The experience was excellent. Any and all concerns were addressed...
The cost versus benefit of one or two Borla mufflers and the availability of shops that retrofit all stainless exhaust systems. It was a considerable difference in price. Short of doing headers, I felt the muffler was the most restrictive part of the exhaust system from a sound and performance...
I didn't big hoss it with the two XR-1's, just used one, haha. I wanted to keep everything stainless so I had to special order the stainless straight pipe to make everything work. I couldn't find a shop that would retrofit a stainless set up.
I used a small piece of 3' stainless straight...
I've read the same thing. That's why I didn't feel so bad just doing a swap vs. the total replacement. I did keep it all stainless vs. the aluminized steel.
Part # is 40085. As far as the tune voiding your warranty. It could be a problem if the dealer finds out and attributes the failure to...
Thanks man. Ditto! I'm very happy with the Borla. I had experience with a Borla on my old Titan. Really sounded great. Low, deep roar. I only did the muffler swap because of the cost of a full system being $$$ as you stated. With running 5's 0 to 60, it not only sounds better, but in...
2014 Quad Cab 4X4 with a 3.21 rear end ratio 8 speed. I got a 5.6 0 to 60 here, video below.

Good deal! I too would like to hear er' scream...Maybe when that rain turns to snow, you can add the slipping and sliding around to your video for that added dramatic effect aye ; )
