Does anyone have a max tire size for these trucks with the 17" rim. In my search I see a lot of max tire size for the 20" but not much for the 17". Anyone have any pictures? Looking for an Mud Terrain. Hoping 285/70/17 will fit.

Just be careful, towing improperly could be bad for the transmission also, like not disengaging the O/D while towing or extreme uphill climes when temperatures can get to hot and cook the oil.

Did alittle more quick diagnosing .... Unplugged ac and set the truck to max ac so it recirculates and it blows heat like crazy .... So I do think its the heatercore not being able to keep up with the 10f outside

Yea what you are experiencing is just one tire slipping then grabbing then the other one slips and grabs, this causes a very violent bounce or shake coming from the front end usually. Nothing is out of the norm, deflate your tires, the ford is a heavyier truck so its compacting the sand more so...

I was thinking of doing it with 5-6 coats so its kind of thick and maybe run it for about a year and then get it painted for good. Worst comes to worst I Peel it off and its back to black.
