    Heater Steering wheel leather cracks...

In three separate RAMs now with heated steering wheels, the leather has cracked within the first 12 months.. Anyone else notice this? I can't tells if its just poor leather, or the heating of cold leather is causing it to crack.

S&B intake mixed up parts from factory? FAIL

Cool.. I was hoping it was something as simple as a part swap... once I get the side plate and a screw kit, I have a feeling it will just screw right in! This was why I was specific that this has zero to do with Moe's... and was definitely a factory error. The parts come in bags, with no part...

S&B intake mixed up parts from factory? FAIL

This is what I was supposed to get... see the side plate that the air filter and air tube attach to? See how it is longer, flat across the bottom and has no tab? Then look at mine.. angled.. tab... Also, in pics... it shows small screws in back, large in front... not the screw kit I received...

S&B intake mixed up parts from factory? FAIL

So, this is what I am left with currently.. the only way to get the truck running with a "sealed" air filter. The only way to get the air tube to connect to the throttle body and the air filter is to do as you see. I am sure that S&B, with their reputation, has simply made an error...

S&B intake mixed up parts from factory? FAIL

Next... the side plate the filter attaches too? It cannot possibly be correct to this kit... First, when you install the filter? you practically need to crush the filter to get it to fit into the box... and have that side plate "close". see red arrows in pics below The side plate is not...

S&B intake mixed up parts from factory? FAIL

OK.. got this ordered in from Moe's (and they are awesome guys.. no complaints there!)... and went to do the install today on my 2013 ram 2500 power wagon 5.7. First several steps went fine... then things started to go to crap. There are A LOT OF ISSUES with the parts that came out of the S&B...

Confusion on Diablo and HF tune

Cool.. just needed it in laymans terms, so to speak... I can understand the process now. So by the end, my diablo intune DCX will have my stock truck tune, the canned diablo tunes, and a custom HF tune.. and I can just plug it in, and change the tune to suit the my current needs. Excited!

Confusion on Diablo and HF tune

so, update the intune (DCX) on the computer (no update avail on mine)... downlaod a preprogrammed tune that I like into the truck... once it done writing, plug the diablo intune back into the computer, open the file location and send those files to sean as an email attachment? So in essence, he...

Confusion on Diablo and HF tune

Looking to ask folks who have used the diablo tuner and HF to to clarify the instructions I got from Sean. It seems to say that I need to update the tuner (check)... then download a canned tune into my truck... then, get the last written tune out of my truck, with the back up file, and email...

Dont always trust your manual... look for yourself

Tell you what fellas.. you do as you wish with your $50K truck.. and I will do what I like with mine. Hehe... Some things are worth doing. I like the trucks performance just fine with the copper plug, but since I had already dragged out the tools, set up the scaffold to be able to work on her...

Dont always trust your manual... look for yourself

There was supposedly a switch in 2013... from copper to platinum. They added an addendum to the service manual, changing the plug change interval from 30,000 (60, 90, ect..) to every 100,000 miles. Yet.. my truck didn't have the platinums.. thus the warning. Dont trust the manual.. check and...

Dont always trust your manual... look for yourself

Why change them? Because I was at 31,000 on them... because I will be towing an Airstream RV on a 5000 mile round trip in a month... because I just invested a ton in a new HF tune & upgrades... and because I like the piece of mind. And because they call for their replacement at 30,000 miles...

Dont always trust your manual... look for yourself

My 30,000 miles came up in my 2013 PW 2500... and my manual had the "addition" which stated the spark plug interval was for 100,000 miles and NOT 30,000 miles. I went ahead an pulled a plug.. and sure enough, they were copper plugs. They looked very clean, and gapped right... but I went...

2013 Power Wagon "Clunk" on Decel?

Alright, just picked her up today... They had to replace a front pinion seal to fix a leak, and took another look at the noise. All they could come up with is that nothing is wrong... and that any noise I am hearing is normal (or they could not replicate) slack in the system. When...

    Questions about 180 tstat...

Looking for good feedback... I tow several thousand miles a year in my 2013 Power Wagon (2500, 4.56 gears, 5.7)... however, I also live in michigan, and we get a good 6 months of cold temps. Towing an RV usually cross country a few weeks a year.. 6000+ lbs... this summer, we'll be in...

2013 Power Wagon "Clunk" on Decel?

Well.. the dealer says they couldn't find anything. It doesnt matter that the service writer heard the loud clang when putting it into park.. and went "whoa!". So great... nothing figured out...

    Grinding/clunking on front end, normal?

My 2013 is in the dealer now for a clunk noise. I also noticed the brakes make a bit of noise when letting off the petal... and, if you have oversize tires, rubbing on the plastic wheel well might also be an issue. My front diff doesn't grind.. but, it did have a seal leak right from the get go.

2013 Power Wagon "Clunk" on Decel?

I have an appointment next tues to drop her off at the dealer... I will report back. The clunking is definitely louder when cold... and definitely on decelleration.

    I Hate Dealerships

I am dropping off my 2013 Power Wagon next.. have an appointment for 3:30... I dont expect it to be done for a day or two so asked they have a rental car waiting for me. I didn't even ask them to promise me a certain time. Just deal with it.. 1-2 days, the job gets done right. Like folks have...

    I Hate Dealerships

Not to be a dick... hehe... but... Unless your dealership is a ghost town, they are going to be doing work based on first come, first served. If they have to order in something, or await a approval for a quote.. nothing is going to happen. I was a heavy engine dealership tech... and it was...

2013 Power Wagon "Clunk" on Decel?

I will say though, it sounds like someone is ringing a gong under the truck when I back down the driveway in reverse (obviously.. :) ) and then shift it into drive. anyone else experience that type of clunk?

2013 Power Wagon "Clunk" on Decel?

Yes, it has the 4.56 gearing... as for history, nothing too crazy. We've towed a 6000LB trailer all over michigan a few weekends a year... and to the Dakota's the first year. Being in michigan we see a ton of snow, so a lot of 4x4 use. I guess I will be making an appointment with the...

2013 Power Wagon "Clunk" on Decel?

Hello all... Wondering if anyone else gets this.. and if so.. is it just normal to the model, or is there an issue? I have a 2013 Power Wagon, 5.7 6 speed auto, 30,000 miles on her... and in normal driving conditions... there is a noticeable clunk from underneath the truck many times when...
