    I think it's a ground issue too. I grounded to the center seat belt bolt after sanding it to bare metal.

    Thank you! I'll do more digging but it's hard to find the impedance on the kickers. Saw a full set (front, rear and dash) that came out of an srt8 on ebay for around $200 shipped, but unsure of the 6x9 ohms. Drop in a 4 ohm and power cut in half.

    Maestro capable headunit is helpful to retain functions. Oddly enough there's a pioneer avh x4700bs and maestro in the for sale section right now. Im sure he'll give you a deal on both pieces. ;)

    Head unit clipping trying to push those speakers. An amp will likely help. 150 rms each??? I'd shoot for at least that in your amp.

    I totally respect and support that. I don't want you to have high expectations for low end response and be disappointed. I suspect the factory deck has a really sharp crossover at 30hz and you may not hear or feel rather the full potential of that sub.

    I wouldn't touch the rears. Spend your money on front stage, sub and amp/processor. Audiocontrol makes a 6 channel amp with dsp. Three way components up front because you have the room to do it.

    I used some xtc foam baffles in the deck of a Honda accord in the past. They buzzed and killed the bass response of the 6x9.

    installing new speaker wire

    To get wires from the cab to the driver's door, i had to take off the leather looking cover, unbolt the ebrake, run a wire hanger carefully from the door wires through the grommet to the cab. I had to take the wire cover off on the door side to access it enough.
