mirror won't tilt when backing up, why?

There’s a setting that can turn off that feature. Maybe you’re are just turned off? I can look up what screen it is, but I know it’s an option. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Time for brakes

I put power stops on mine and love them. I did the pads and all 4 rotors. Much better braking than OEM, especially for towing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Best shocks Ram 2500 4X4

I love my Rancho 9000’s. Went on a long trip and turned them down for a smoother ride since we weren’t towing anything. I did have issues with the front set leaking after a couple months, but they replaced them no questions asked. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New truck time?

They replaced the fan clutch and sent me on my way. We’ll see how it acts when it comes time to pull hard. So far I haven’t heard it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New truck time?

Welp.... the truck goes in to have the cooling system checked out today. We’ve decided we’ll get a new truck at the end of this year or beginning of next, but this one needs to be right. Hopefully they don’t tell me nothing is wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New truck time?

That’s kind of my thought now. They replaced the cooling fan a couple years ago, but I’ve never heard it kick on and the temp only comes down when we pick up speed with less load. I don’t think they BS’d me, I just haven’t bothered them about it again. I think I will have them look at it, and...

    New truck time?

See I don’t know. Maybe I should get it checked out. If somethings still wrong with my cooling system then maybe my truck is fine for now, or upgrading to the newer hemi is best. If they say it’s functioning properly then I think the Cummins is in my future. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That’s the thing...I never hear my fan kick up. Never. I still think there’s something wrong with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New truck time?

All of it gets warm really. The trucks complaint is about the coolant temp, which gets to 255 easy. Trans hangs just under 200, and oil I think is at around the same. I watched the video with the latest 6.4 and Cummins. You’re right, they were pulling 14k with it and it seemed to do better...

    New truck time?

Okay. Looks like so far the oil change is gonna cost me close to the same since my hemi uses that fancy oil. BUT is it true that it’s a 15k oil change interval? That’s half of my hemi at least. AND it’s a wash between my premium fuel and diesel/DEF...though I could see a bit of return with...

    New truck time?

Looks like aftermarket they are $1000-$2000. Looks like it could bolt on, so I should be able to do that myself too if it came to it. I’ve replaced cat converters before that were weld on with no issues. I’m a pretty decent welder...as long as they didn’t cram everything in there like I imagine...

    New truck time?

I haven’t. I watched it when I got my truck... they had the 6 speed in that truck and had the tow limp mod hit them too... but I don’t remember theirs overheating at all. Mine flashes the light and sends a message about temps too hot unless I actively control my speed and push to keep it under...

I’ll have to look into maintenance costs and longevity of this then as well...thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I see that now looking into it. Interesting. So maybe the rumor is unsubstantiated? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New truck time?

Well...you’re close on the hemi stuff. My 5.7 cost that. But the oil species for the 6.4 puts me at around $75 in materials for the oil change. And, I actually pay more for gas, since the hemi 6.4 wants 87 or higher octane, I’ve been putting in 91 since I work with it. I figured out given...

    New truck time?

The more I think about it I agree. My warranty covers me now, but will cost me past next March. So it sounds like sinking money into this one isn’t a good idea. And, most think I should lean towards the diesel. Does anyone think the 6.4 with the 8 speed would suit me? OR, can someone tell me...

    New truck time?

Rumor has it we may see the Allison 10 speed on the Cummins for 2022. BUT, that opens up a whole other thread about wether I get the 6 speed or the 10 if they do. I know the Allison is tried, but not mated to a Cummins and in a Ram! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yeah, it runs hot probably 6 times per year... I’m not liking that either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New truck time?

Yeah...considering OEM’s come out here to test their trucks, the Rockies are legit! Not gonna start wars here, but I’m not a Ford fan. Last one I had the interior did not want to stay together. That and they change their diesel designs quite often. I think I’d stick with the Cummins if I go...

    New truck time?

I’ve got 84k on the clock right now. I change the oil every 6k with the recommended Pennzoil 0W-40. I changed the trans at 60k with factory lube, and change the axels at every 20k. KBB puts the trade in at $38k (mine is a limited and I keep the truck cherry, it looks new...) Sent from my...

    New truck time?

I feel like I “strain” this truck about once per month. If that’s all it was I think I might be inclined to leave it be. But I make it work pretty much all the time, in addition to straining it once per month. Yeah, I could probably trade my truck in for around $30k-$35k. That and the warranty...

    New truck time?

Hey guys, I’ve been hanging out on these forums quite a bit. My extended warranty comes up on my truck next year, and I need to decide what to do with it so I can keep an eye out for deals or do research. Sorry if this is long, here goes. I currently have a 2015 2500 mega 6.4 w/ 3.73. I tow...

That’s it, I’m confused! Gear oil

Go with manufacturers specs. They’ve tested everything thoroughly. You want to make sure that you don’t use oil so that that it doesn’t properly lube the pinion bearings by cast off from the ring gear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Dodge V6 & V8 Gas & Cummins turbo-diesel Pick-ups (09-18) Haynes Repair Manual

I have one of these. Since they cover so many engines and trucks, a lot of the stuff is pretty vague. I use it mostly for torque values. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
