Under the cowl panel on the RH side is a Data plate for your truck or take the seat out & look in it for the build sheet they're also found under the carpet over the trans tunnel a lot of times
I can check my Factory sevice manuals & see if the terminals are all the same in the bulkhead. They changed the plugs for the engine harness every couple years I can check that too! Bob
You can buy the lower control arms from Rock auto & other parts places. They fit 78-98 Dodge B250 van You will have to grind them & drill the strutrod holes. I can get you part numbers for all the parts.
How low do you want to go? Bob
You have to find a parts guy who will be willing to put those #'s on the national dealer network. We did it on a LeBaron T&C Wagon & it turned up some #'s It's a 78 model
It wouldn't be hard to do!
You could put a 4000# balljoint & pivot bushing in a 1/2-3/4 ton LCA & get 2" probably.
I do the opposite to lower a 1/2 ton 2" 4000# LCA w/1/2 ton balljoint.
Weld some bracing on it maybe
I think I can make it ride good with a 500 cid B1 when I'm done. I'm gonna drive till I get a frame built for it. It'll get lowered first before anything gets done
It's already lowered 4" in the rear & 3" in the front. I would like to do the Cummins thing but, I'm old enough now that I need to start finishing some of my cars or they will be wasted. The truck if it stays it will get the Magnum put back in it Right now I'm on the fence
The rockers are the only real rust & the pass side is the worst. Besides that & some rust at the seam in the floor that's it. the bed is something else though. If I keep it I'm reskining it to match my RC
I've had this for a few years now & it was the family Road trip ride for the last 5 years. I had put a 5.9 Magnum with a 518 trans in it & it did well on the highway (19-20 MPG most of the time) way better than the truck it came out of. I pulled the motor when the trans went out & decided...

I know a guy that put his hi mile body over onto a low mile frame for the whole drivetrain. It is easier to do this than to change each part. He didn't unbolt the fenders from the cab just the hood so he could get hook a strap on the core support. Opened the doors & put a 4X4 though with a...
I bought a billet throttle body for a Dak R/T & it was a night day difference. I bought it through Kenne Bell 12 years ago. Throw away that KEG! MOPAR M1 increases the rpm range & torque. You can then make use of a good program then
Genuine Mopar is the only way I do retro fits of 500 & 518 trannys into old school Mopars & that's the only way to fly. After 75K or so remove completely or remove & replace the check valves in the hoses at your radiator & flush the cooler. These check valves are a leading cause of OD failure...
I see in a ad for another forum like this they state "better than those other guys" I took offense to that & came here & joined. I've modded 2nd & 3rd GENs as well as Dak/Durango so I will be of help there also
I came here looking for a way to help boost 1st GENs & lend a hand where I can. I've been a car & truck builder/restorer for a living almost my entire life so I can help all GENs.
