Trade or sell
might be worth kicking some tires and having a dealer do a trade appraisal. you can play the part and test drive the 2500 you want down the road. Tell the dealer the numbers don't work for you and leave with a ball park of what you can expect in a trade.- Jvbronco

Factory gooseneck package or after market
When I traded in my 2500 the dealer used the fact that I did not have this from factory as a bargaining chip against me. Not in a slimy way, but it was a point he fell back on about people want to pull big trailers in these things bla bla bla. In the end, it probably didn't cost me much, but...- Jvbronco

Is it 5 miles? I thought it was closer to 3? I went to school 30 miles north of Lewiston in Moscow, ID. Made that trip many times in my 1/2 silverado. We used to joke about the fact that I was getting 3mpg unloaded up that hill.- Jvbronco
