Finally had time to wash and wax the old gal and put a new Bakflip (MX4) on her.
I also found a Rock Block that I purchased about a year ago (forgot about it) and installed that too
Now I’m going to load up my golf clubs and go play some golf on the central coast.....time to get out...
For sure brother....lovely SoCal in the Spring. Too bad our liberal ass mayor and dumb-shit Governor have us in total lockdown.....crazy times we live in.
Here’s one for ya:

Here’s the work truck, does all the hauling and towing. Bought it new in 2012, and now has 122K on her.
.....and here’s the “hobby” truck[emoji15]
The only workout this one gets is hauling my ass to the golf course [emoji3]

Gave her a nice wash and spray detail (did my 2019 Laramie sport as well). Then installed an Outterware lime green pre-filter.....watcha think?

Kinda pricey, 855.00, but has a 135.00 dollar refundable core deposit attached.....so 720.00 for a the whole kit. I just need to send back the rotors and calipers in the Powerstop boxes and they’ll mail me a check. Picked up the brakes at carid.com.

Pretty busy couple of weeks. Started with cam and lifter replacement due to seized lifter. Also had the manifold stud breaking issue fixed. Then replaced all brakes with Powerstop (rotors pads and calipers). Then switched out the Mufflex 24 with a Borla Touring catback. And finally this morning...
Finished up the rear brakes this evening and will get to bleeding the new calipers tomorrow....I’m bushed.
I also have a Borla touring catback arriving tomorrow and got my Vararam air grabber today...Moe’s shipping is frickin fast.
Got a four day weekend coming up, so I’m going to be busy...
She’s been parked in the driveway for a week and dirty as hell, so did a wash and spray detail.....interior got some attention too.

For sure, I’m kinda excited to see how the Powerstops perform. I’ve been riding on some garbage EBCs for way too long. I’ll make sure to post up my review in a couple weeks when I get some miles on um.

Got the fronts finished and now heading to a birthday brunch, so I’ll have to finish with the rear later on this week.

Getting ready to do some brakes in the morning. Powerstop Z23 Evolution are going on to replace my EBC sport with Greenstuff pads. The EBC setup generated a ton of dust and were noisy as hell. I’m hoping the Powestop will do the trick.
I got 60K out of the factory brakes, and 59Ish out of the...
Quick update: I had called the shop to have them save the cam and failed lifter for me and this morning I went and picked it up. The lifter roller was completely seized and had literally worn the entire cam lobe away...crazy. Now I’m wondering where all that metal material may have...
Picked her up from the shop. New lifters, rockers, cam, and had that damn exhaust leak fixed when the heads were off....4 broken studs. She’d been in surgery for a week and now back on the road. It’s like having a new truck (well almost). My 2019 Laramie Sport will be hanging in the driveway...
Yeah, blows for sure. Having it done for 3800 (OEM) and they’re doing the exhaust manifold bolts as well. It sucks, but I’m really looking forward to having both of these very common problems fixed. FCA needs to get their shit together[emoji15]

I have my meticulously maintained 2012 Ram with 118k miles in the shop now having the cam and lifters replaced. Cylinder 5 misfire code led me down the major repair path and I believe it’s due to the lifter roller bearings failing in some capacity. Technician told me he’s had 4 trucks in the...
Wash and wax for me this weekend, along with finishing the chrome delete (not that there was much of it in the first place), but got all the badges changed out to matte black.
Also changed out the cabin air filter.

Ah, great observation....75 slant 6. It was was my mother-in-laws and had been garaged for about 20 years. It’s my son’s now and he and I are slowly doing a restore.

Got to the clay bar, brilliant glaze, and paste wax today....all Adams products.
I actually believed the weatherman when he said a “slight” chance of showers today, but I’m starting to worry a bit now[emoji15].

I was able to remove the push nuts with a couple of flathead screwdrivers without damaging them. Then I reinstalled um. Here’s my left rear.

Throwing up my catch can dump photo from today. Not sure how many miles on this cycle, but probably around 1000. I haven’t been driving it much, but decided to change the oil today and empty the CC...hasn’t been emptied since August (I do know that[emoji15]).
