They are factory and only come with the Ram trucks that have the multi-function tailgate. Supposedly provide corner support and removing them allegedly voids the warranty.

Your jack should be under the hood on the passenger side by the radiator/core support. Even if the jack is missing the clamp should be there.

I kept getting the same message when I had my old toy hauler hooked up to the truck. None of my other trailers did. I found the wire to the electric magnet on one of the trailer brake hubs was broken. I rebuilt the trailer brakes and the issue was resolved.
