    5.7 motor. Any help or info needed. I had a cylinder 8 misfire P0308 code and cleared it and came back on 3 times in total over a 2 week period. Hasn’t come back on in month now, can it still be misfiring without the CEL warning?

    I tried the install again, and now they turn on when the engine is not running, and after starting the engine and I go to turn the lights on, they flash 5 times and stay off. What gives?

    What causes the power steering hose to leak from here, is it the hose that goes bad or the clamps or both? What’s a good fix? This is from a 17’ and exact same spot on my 08’. That’s just right under the radiator

    I’m installing 2.5” leveling kit and the top of the strut is abit angled, so with the kit on I will have to turn the strut 180°, will it still even out after reinstall on the truck? 08’ 5.7 4X4

    Tried that, but maybe I didn’t hit it hard enough. Although I did hit it pretty hard several times. I’ll go try tomorrow if no better way turns up here. But I suppose thats all there is to do is bang the shit out of it

    I just went to look at it again. This time up close and personal, there’s tiny cracks. Not sure how they formed. Maybe because is was super cold that day I changed it. Was like -32°C / -25°F. (Don’t think I seen those cracks after installing, but I can’t remember) Well I’m gonna have to change...

    Still leaks

    Installed new axle and new seal. And yet it still leaks. Any ideas why that would be? I was very gentle with the seal to not damage it.

    Yup, JB weld is what I was gonna use. The metal lip part of the seal sits right over that lil nick. Idk if anyone else has a harder fix. But probably not many ways to smooth it out. Thanks for input

    changing the seal on the left front differential because of a leak. After removing the seal which came off rather easily, I noticed that little chip on the edge. See pic. U think that’s what was causing leak? How can that be fixed? I know a way I can try. Just asking how anyone else would do it

    With 4x4 on is meant to go straight. Or at least do not over turn. That’s how I use my truck anyway

    Are the front axles of a 4X4 the same part. If I need the left side do I specify I need that or will a cv axle work for either side?

    Oh I forgot to mention on here earlier when I found out the reason why my 4x4 wasn’t working. The passenger side cv axle was missing. Lol. I dont know how my old folks manage to do that and not notice anything. But have new axles, gonna put ‘em’ when I have time.

    There are no dash lights that light up. I know it has a ‘4x4 serv ‘ light but that doesn’t even warn me. Just on for few seconds when start up. Absolutely nothing happens when shifting knob. Does not seem to hear any shifting sounds, least not from in the cab. I think this past fall it was still...
