I've got an extension (connects to the truck end of the hitch) that's probably a foot long that I could add. Is that enough to matter on a 10 foot utility trailer?
Is the concept that it's a little more difficult to maneuver when you back the trailer up but that also keeps you out of trouble?
Ah....the rest of the story.
Guess you're lucky that the chemical plant wasn't catching up with you.
I did take my truck by the body shop that repaired the first jack knife and they said that its fairly normal for people to do this with low trailers.
Now deciding whether to get one of...
I think you're right about the pics.
The trailer does sit pretty low and the truck sits high. Still can't believe I did it a second time in less than 18 month. Sheeze.
Drove my previous SUV for over twenty years and didn't do it once. It also sat much lower than my 1500.
Great idea....THANKS.
Here's another one that's fairly similar. https://www.amazon.com/Performance-Tool-W1276-Trailer-Alignment/dp/B00R8EWV9O/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1505334441&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=Ultra-Tow+Magnetic+Trailer+Alignment+Kit
Obviously, I'm not very good at backing up my utility trailer/truck.
This is the second time I jack knifed my utility trailer into the rear quarter panel of the truck. Not very bad but will need a trip to the body shop.
Does anybody make some kind of proximity sensor that lets you know...
I put one of these on my 2016 when it was about a month old.
There was a little more to installing it than I would have thought but once done, very glad I did it. Makes life with a pickup a little easier.
Now if they'd come up with escalator running boards. :)
Probably a blocked drain somewhere causing trapped water to mildew and put out an odor.
Similar situation in my Mercedes if you don't shut down the a/c correctly. Its design to have the fan run so many minutes after the engine is turned off to get rid of trapped moisture.
I wound up having a local machine shop make spacers for me that were 2"X2" round with a 1/2" diameter hole drilled through the center. If I had to do it again, I'd make the hole a little larger as the longer bolts that I thought were 1/2" must have been just a little larger.
This is on a 2016 Ram Tradesman regular cab.
With the vent selection in the 12:00 position, and the fan cranked up, I don't seem to be getting much air from the heater vents. You can hear the fan making a sound somewhere in/under the dash that would give you the impression that its putting...
2016 Tradesman, regular cab bought back in March 2016.....$21,600. I'm thinking that's a good deal but can someone who knows about these things comment. Thanks.
I'd first unplug the connectors and check for any kind of gung that may have built up. Given that you can give it a wack and it'll start back up sounds like the motor isn't shot as it wouldn't start back up if it was.
Great story.
My wife took her Toyota to the dealership for an oil change and came back with a new car.
Can't complain as it gave me an opportunity to buy a new truck. What could she say? lol
