Shifting shudder
Just went through this with mine. I could feel a shudder while shifting in the lower gears. Took it to the dealer, first tried a software update-no help. Then they replaced the valve body-still no help. Then they replaced the transmission and all is well. I'm glad I have the lifetime drivetrain...- Wings

Final update.....Dealer replaced the transmission and all is well again. No more shudder. No complaints about the dealer, they had a process to go through. First, software update, 2nd, valve body and if neither of those work they replace the tranny. Glad I have the lifetime drivetrain warranty...- Wings

I've got the lifetime drivetrain warranty so all I had to pay was the deductable of $100. And that $100 I paid should be all I pay till this is fixed. What's the shudder fix?- Wings

Well.....after a new valve body, damn thing still shudders shifting in the low gears. 1-2, 2-3 and sometimes 3-4. Mine use to do it every now and then but the last few months it's gotten worse and now it's almost all the time. Called the dealer, left a message to find out what the next step will...- Wings

Well dealer says it needs a new valve body. On order will be here this week. Dropping truck off again on Fri. Hope this takes care of it.....- Wings

It seems to do it in either normal and tow mode. Yes low speed and low low rpm. When accelerating normally from a stop, it seems to happen at the shift changes from 1-2 and 2-3? The truck has about 107K on the clock and never had a fluid/filter change so I may start with that. I bought the...- Wings

I have a 2014 1500 5.7eng with the 8 hp70 and have the shudder when shifting from 1 to2 and 2 to3, at low speed. Not sure if it's the tranny, transfer case or what? Any ideas?- Wings

Timber Grove air bags

Went to the Cat scale today.....
2014 Laramie with 5.7, 8sp & 3.21 gears. Equalizer 4pt hitch, towing a 26' Outback 260UML. I have the airlift 1000 bags set to 25lbs, LT295/60R20 10 ply Nitto Ridge Grapplers at 70psi, Hellwig rear sway bar. Thinking the numbers aren't too bad but wondering if the difference between ft and rear...- Wings
