    Do you have documentation to support that on the RAM? The latest exploded view R&R manual I saw clearly indicated the LSD has a clutch pack in it so I'm curious about it.

    Maybe people aren't having the problems you mention in everyday use? I have had no issues with the transmission in my truck towing (around 7K pounds) or not. I'm not trying to be confrontational, just offering an opinion.

    That seems awfully low. According to the document at https://www.ramtrucks.com/assets/towing_guide/pdf/2016_ram_1500_towing_charts.pdf the lowest payload is 1290lbs unless I am not understanding the chart. I just wanted to mention it.
