On the dodges there's a oem grommet in the way of one of the bars mounting pads with heavy duty 3m In order to sit flush you can either remove the one mounting pad or pop out the plastic grommet like I did on mine.. takes all of 2 seconds Has a nice solid piece of aluminum back plate and...- Alleya

Yeah I hear ya .. ours don't look like a typical LED strip though to get a clean white had to use white LED chips which are in fact yellow.. there's a slightly smoked casing around ours sealing it from the elements and making it a bit less noticeable. I'll post pics shortly- Alleya
