Looking to install a sub under the back seat of my quad cab. The amp will be located in the middle of the backseat. How much power wire will I need? Thanks

Wiring my LED bar to my brights

Thanks, everyone, for the replies! I got it all hooked up! My dad talked to someone earlier today and then he bought a 3 way switch. Somehow, when he had the harness in his possession, wires 3 and 4 magically disappeared and he doesn't remember them ever being there, even though I saw them...

Wiring my LED bar to my brights

That's what I was thinking. I've got some Hellas that are tied into my high beams right now. It looks like they're connected near the left high beam. I'm assuming I can just take the wire from the Hella out (I'm getting rid of them) and put #4 in it's place on the brights?

Wiring my LED bar to my brights

I know there are some other threads on this, but I have yet to find a thread with clear instructions for an idiot such as myself. I've got an Auxbeam 42" 240W LED bar and I'd like to have it come on with my brights. I don't need it to come on without the brights, but it would be nice if the...

    Rear seat mounting bolt size?

1500 SLT QC. I'm raising my seats with 2x4's underneath to make room for a custom sub box. The bolts are slightly too short, and I can't find the bolt size anywhere. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Crutchfield recommending wrong size speakers?

Alright, thanks, everyone. I'll just go with 6.5's so I don't have to worry about 6x9's not fitting right.

    Crutchfield recommending wrong size speakers?

I have a 2010 Ram 1500 SLT. The grills for the front door speakers are clearly 6X9. Even the picture they have on Crutchfield shows the shape of a 6X9 in the front door. But they say 6X9's don't fit and are only showing me 5.25, 6.5 and 7" recommendations. What's going on?

Looking to put an LED light bar in bumper

Lots of people are putting it that low, so it can't be that bad. It seems low, but compared to the height of car lights, it's fairly similar, so it shouldn't be much of an issue. I think I'm gonna try a curved 42". Hella 500FF 100 watt. I originally had the 50 watt, and upgraded. Didn't help.

6 speakers...how many channels for the receiver?

Alright, thanks, guys. I'll get the harness. I'm planning on changing out the front door speakers as well. They seem really weak.

6 speakers...how many channels for the receiver?

I'm looking at upgrading my receiver, but it looks like receivers are generally 4 channels. Crutchfield says all of these receivers fit my truck, but how does that work with 6 speakers?

Building my own fiberglass sub box - to vent or not to vent?

Oh god, I'm old. lol. Yeah, this was my set up just out of high school. Alright, thanks for the advice. I think I'll start planning for a new set up rather than mess around with something that may need to be replaced shortly anyways. I'll decide on a new sub or two and then start designing the...

Building my own fiberglass sub box - to vent or not to vent?

This thing is close to 20 years old. It just says "Thunderpro 500 watts total power" on it. My amp is an MTX Thunder 280. Looking at the specs, it sorta looks under-powered, but I remember it sounding good when it was working. I'm not sure if I should go ahead and break the seal on the sub in...

Building my own fiberglass sub box - to vent or not to vent?

I've got a 12" MTX sub from years ago that I'd like to take out of a ported box and stick under my back seat. I listen to mostly pop/dance/indie electronic and I don't want really tight bass. I've seen a number of threads here and elsewhere about people building their own fiberglass sub boxes...

Looking to put an LED light bar in bumper

Could I just use a cutting torch or a saw and widen the bumper in the skinny area?

Looking to put an LED light bar in bumper

I see people installing these things in their bumper, but my opening seems to be oddly shaped, compared to most. At the skinniest, it's about a 1 3/4" opening, and every 42" light bar I see is a double row of LED's at about 3". Anyone with the same bumper have a solution? As you can see, I put...
