I see this post is rather old but oh well. I put mine in the tranny pan. That's where most OEM installs are. The oil in the line can vary in temp from the oil in the pan and that's the oil the trans is using.

Here's the lowest price I have found on air bags. I'm gonna get them for my 04 1500 if the WDH doesn't even out the suspension when I hook up my new camper.
