Sorry I didn't reply sooner in the other thread have been out of touch for awhile. I'm at 9k miles since the brackets and just did a re-torque of everything and still very smooth. Have had the truck over 100 a few times with no issues and it rides great.
Sadly I did all mine at the same time so I have no judge to lowering without the no cut brackets. However I have never had any of the issues mentioned with lowering. I have 4k miles since installing the no cut brackets and have had the truck to 120mph with no wobble or vibration short of the...
There was a little modification that had to made to the rear shocks the bushings and sleeve in the bottom mount had to be replaced. I pulled the numbers from davidram's post you can google ramforum qa1 and it will be the first result. Look at the last few pages there are some alternative part...
I called OE Wheels directly because they were the only ones that carried chrome but several other sites have them. I paid a little more for the tires from them then I would have locally but they were cheaper on the tpms sensors so came out about the same.
Well the install went a lot harder then I was expecting for the no cut brackets but the end result is amazing. I did end up buying the qa1 all the way around and a front hellwig swaybar. The alignment came out almost perfect however I have a little bit of a pull to the right thinking about...
I have 100 miles on my no-cut brackets now going in for an alignment in the morning but I have no vibration or any of the other issues listed with a 2/4 drop. I could see how the no cut install could cause a pinion vibration if the holes for the upper control arms got drilled a little off.
Good advice on the step bit I went threw 2 5/8 titanium bits before trying it. Everything went much easier after switching. Hell of an install blew up 2 impact wrenches and my short 90 degree drill but worth it.
Not trying to be completely impatient, any update of how things are going. My wife is out of town this week and if I'm going to spend more money would rather do it now :).
Thanks for all the input guys. The guy at Moe's was great to deal with so I would feel bad returning the panhard bar when it may come in handy at some time but I ordered it before I knew about the relocation brackets. For the QA1's I feel really stupid paying for the upgraded belltech kit just...
Hi Guys,
I purchased a 2017 Quad cab recently and was already on the phone with Moe's before leaving the dealership. I love the truck but really want that lowered look and stiffer suspension. Thanks to all of the post's here I decided to hold off on install of the parts I have already...
Any update
Wanted to check in and see how everything was going with the brackets I'm following all the threads as patiently as I can but all the stuff in my garage waiting to be installed is crying.
Count me in
Really looking forward to the testing, if all goes well count me in for a set. Just bought a 17 Quad cab and have the Belltech kit in the garage. Waiting to do the mod after I read moregrips thread detailing all the issues.
Thank you very much
Just purchased a 2017 Ram 1500 Quad cab and was on the phone with Moe's Performance while I was still signing the paperwork. This thread has gave me pause before installing my 963SP kit. Thank you very much for the great write up and the time and effort put in to your...
