    Dead animal smell 2016 1500 Hemi

    Cabin filter? I changed mine in my 2013 Jeep Grand Cherokee last year. I had trouble pulling the filter out and when it finally came out, it was full of chewed up insulation and mouse piss and turds. I don't know where they got the insulation from - I didn't see any other damage.

    Oil: synthetic or conventional

    Why wouldn't I? Just because I am old-school, probably to a fault. I have never jumped onto the "latest and greatest" bandwagon concerning anything. But even if I was to switch to synthetic, going two years without a change doesn't sound like a good idea.

    Tailgate Removal

    I got it. Yup, there is a button (or tab) behind the red slider that needs to be depressed. One would think this could be a better design. Some folks like to remove the tailgate somewhat routinely.

    I do NOT have a back up camera. But the wire harness is there for the electric lock. I can remove the rectangular bezel from the body, but when I slide the red lock tab back, I still can't disconnect the plug.

    Jeez, how hard can this be? I popped the plastic rectangle out of the rear of the bed, but I can't figure out the trick to disconnecting the plug. There is a small red "slide" that I thought would release the plug, but it isn't happening. What's the trick?

    Hate that tranny knob

    Old habits die hard - I get that. I'd like to think we can all adapt quickly, though. Anybody hunt? I can go from an auto-loader to a pump gun, and not really miss a beat. Single trigger to a double-trigger, etc. I don't really think it through, it just being aware of what I'm trying to...

    What DON'T you like about your RAM?

    Whew. I waded through all 26 pages and was surprised to NOT see my issue. So I had to register. I have the manual knob operated climate controls. I do NOT like the fact that every time I rotate the temp knob to cool, I accidently turn the A/C on!
