    Yours may be old or defective. Fumoto will replace it for you. I got the lock clip with mine.

    Remember the skids are factory installed. I think you are confusing it with dealer installed.

    The rear skid is covering the transfer case. It is one of the two that come with the optional factory protection group. I added the front p/s skid that wan't included but available through the parts dept. I made my own transmission/oil pan skid since there wasn't any available.

    I used a sharpie and marked the center nut to the body when the internal holes lined up best with the forward fittings. I'm not sure I had to though. I don't have the paperwork that came with the adapter and can't find it online either.

    My filter was way up too. I have a 2017. My setup the oil lines are inline with the engine adapter.

    Great advise. The hose is critical. The Perma Cool hose only has a 3 year service life and should be replaced at that point. I did not know that till after my kit arrived. If I had, I would have gone with a different hose.

    My DIY kit was more expensive then just the off the shelf kit, but then again I got exactly what I wanted with no extra unneeded parts. So depending on how you look at it, the DIY route could be considered cheaper. I have not run the numbers and I don't intend too. :)

    I never claimed mine was better. A member asked why I built my own kit instead of buying one. I answered. I like my kit, that's all that matters.

    I can't control what happens inside the adapter and filter mount. I can control the fittings. I have done that. Less is more.

    Because I didn't want a bunch of 90° fittings in the oil path. They don't make a kit with all straight fittings but they have all the parts available so I made my own kit.

    The Ram eTorque system uses a lithium 48v battery pack with separate 12v output. The standard Prius uses a 202V nickel-metal hydride pack and a separate 12v battery for system bootup. There are obdii devises that permanently turn off start-stop so no worries.

    This is incorrect. There isn't just a 26 gallon calibration. I have a 32 gallon tank AND a 32 gallon calibration. My gauge reads correctly. I have filled up with 29+ gallons at times before miles to empty read 0. Because of this, I don't think it's a software issue. I could be wrong as usual...
