    Well I’d certainly agree it’s unusual but I can tell you that under normal use the bed shifted and the cap hit the cab. Only the top corners are dented because that’s where the cap is closest to truck. Nobody disputes the facts, they simply say they won’t cover it.

    Reg, the shell did not shift in relation to the bed, the whole bed moved in relation to the rest of the truck. The dealership was able to put the bed back where where it belongs and tighten it down to where they’re confident it cannot move again.

    Baron, I wish everyone involved saw it your way. I believe they’re saying installing a cap constitutes a “modification” and voids warranty. If that’s how they view cap installation, given how common caps are, potential buyers should be made very aware that it could void some portion of the warranty.

    PMR: It’s 2019 with under 36k, it’ll still be under warranty until sometime early next year. They even fixed the bed under warranty so at least that’s not crooked anymore. Sadly, paint is broken.

    I will update after I visit the dealer. They had to reschedule my appointment. I just hope they replace the BCM after all I’ve read here. Deki, mine is also intermittent, it seems to work when the truck is very cold but after it warms up the problems start.
