    Cooling system. 29 quarts? Really?

Ready with 4 gallons of G05 and plenty of distilled water, I first drained the system with the heater valve open. Like everyone else, I got out about 4 gallons or a bit less. Filled with distilled, drove the truck till it reached full temp with heater on HI, let it cool, drain. Did this 4 times...

    Electric seat control problems

The gears are part of the front vertical seat motor and can't be replaced. You'll need to replace the electric motor itself. Go to the URL I posted above and buy a new vertical motor. It comes with full instructions, as I said. This is the only way to correct your problem other than replacing...

    Electric seat control problems

The seat motors are not available from Dodge. You have to buy the entire seat frame. My front vertical adjuster has been out for more than a year, but I just discovered instructions online for removing the motors, and there's a guy on ebay selling the motors individually. 02 03 04 05 06 07 08...

    Transmission Problem

Changing fluid and filter won't harm anything, unless the filter is installed incorrectly. Check the service interval in your owners manual. It likely should have been done by now. What causes the problems you heard of is when folks get talked into a "transmission flush" using a flushing...

Where is everyone routing their XM antenna cords to roof?

There's no need to have the antenna outside the truck, as long as it has an unobstructed view of the sky. It can "see" through glass, plastic, and carpeting. My Kenwood head unit came with a sticky backed metal plate for mounting on the dash, and the antenna sticks to that magnetically. I just...

    Check that serpentine belt!

I wasn't as lucky. The belt was torn in half, slapped around and ate up the crank sensor. That caused the engine to stop, which made the power brakes inop. Another owner I met yesterday told me I was lucky the belt didn't rip into the radiator. Stu

    Check that serpentine belt!

I hear that! I'm amazed I didn't hear that bearing failing before it completely let go.

    Check that serpentine belt!

So here's an update. I found what caused the belt failure. The bearing in the idler pulley disintegrated - completely. All I found was the inner and outer races, and both were full of rust. That let the pulley off the shaft, which took all the tension off the belt, then all hell broke loose...

    Check that serpentine belt!

Yeah, the tow cost me $79, but I think insurance will reimburse me. I did have the AC going (it was 107 here today), but it was working fine. Tow truck backed my baby into my garage, so I can sort through the carnage tomorrow in an air conditioned building instead of laying in burning hot...

    Check that serpentine belt!

New guy here. I hate to make my first post on a negative note, but I just had an interesting afternoon caused by a broken serpentine belt and thought I'd pass along a heads up. Anybody here ever had one break? Trust me - you don't want to. Steering? Only if your name is Schwarzenegger. Brakes...
