Hey All,
Background:
Rewired a trailer for a 4 pin harness... replacing the old original harness that was way past needing switched out.
My problem is that only the left turn signal is operational. Thought maybe I had an issue on the truck side so checked fuses and chased wires and couldn't find...
Removed the center 4 fins on my AGS right after I brought her home. I've seen temps as low as 185° on the highway but usually I'm running 195-199° even on the hot and sticky days here this past summer in NC.
Hey All,
Turn signals and brake lights work. Trailer grounded from trailer harness to frame, lights grounded to trailer frame. All truck fuses are good. New 7/4 pin connector.
No running lights.
Help....?
Athlium,
I appreciate your reply. I don't use the auto light option....
I've turned the lights of my truck on with and without starting it . I even grounded the trailer wire harness to the trailer frame...after chasing wires I realized that it wasn't.
I'm at a loss
I know that this thread is over a year old but after going through numerous threads and Google and YouTube searches, I have replaced all of the fuses( none were blown) chased wires on my ram and the trailer with no luck. The brake, turn signals lights work fine just no running lights. And based...
I know that this is an old thread but the J14 fuse doesn't exist in my 2015 Ram 1500 3.6l. I would really like to fix this trailer running lights issue. Is there a a fuse comparable to this J14 fuse in my truck or have I been tricked?
Any info is appreciated
Sweet. My driver's side nozzle just stopped working and the passenger side nozzle can't even get the fluid on the windshield....time to do some R&R!
Appreciate the write up!
Hey All,
I gotta new issue with the tailgate camera. The camera has been working but still getting the occasional distorted screen even after putting dielectric grease in the plug. Today I put my truck in reverse and all I get is a green screen.
WTF?
Swapped in the new camera. Put dielectric grease on the coupler and still get a distorted screen every so often....guess it's something I'll have to live with...
Update...
Got a new sent to me. Haven't installed it yet. Gonna try the dielectric grease on the coupler first...if it keeps giving me a distorted screen then I'll swap out cameras
Just to update....
I've been having issues with the camera working fine then getting distorted screen when I put the truck in reverse. Contacted Tailgate camera and was told that my truck make/model had issues with camera product I bought . Working on getting another camera and/or fix.
Mission complete... the adapter I used was the audio adapter for Dodge/Jeep/2009-2012. On Amazon. Only one I found that was close to my 2015 so took a shot...$14. I used a pin tool to remove the wires from the plastic connector (they were in #'s 21 & 22) and put the yellow in #31 and the black...
I gotta wait a couple more days on the pin connectors Guys....After going to 3 different auto parts stores and a audio/video installer, with no luck in finding RAM/MOPAR connectors and given 4 and told that " these will work"(I knew they wouldn't but free is free), I went online and found a...
ok Guys....found my issue. I reread the destructions and reread them a few more times and realized I "read" the radio plug wrong and put the wires in the wrong place. Gonna get some more pin connectors and do it the right way on my next day off this coming Sunday. I did get the camera...
SRich2015...both Rear View Camera options and the grid line setting
Jimmy07...I will be checking those 3 items tomorrow (off day)
Really appreciate your time guys!
SRich2015,
I don't quite understand your question....I plugged the connector (from the kit)into the connector in the tailgate and ran all the wiring up to the back of the radio and plugged into the rca cable and power wire to the hot wire at the 12v power outlet and ground.
What am I missing?
Hey All...
I know that this subject has been discussed countless times here but I haven't had success in finding the answer here on this forum so....
My problem/issue is that I bought the OEM tailgate handle camera to replace the inoperable aftermarket camera the previous owner had mounted in...
THANK YOU haasri!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm installing an oem tailgate camera in my Ram and was trying to find the 12v power outlet wire colors to finish the install!
Much Appreciated!!!!
Glad you were able to make your repairs!
I have a question you might be able to answer. I've been noticing a "rubbing " feeling when I make left or right turns. I jacked my truck up and found no "play" in either front tire ...I was thinking that the sound was my front wheel bearings were...
