89’ D150 auto to manual trans swap NV3500
Maybe you've figured all this out already. I know they make an electronic to mechanical adapter that you plug your speedometer cable into, it's north of $300. Is the 88-93 a hydraulic clutch setup? Are you able to fabricate at all? Neutral safety switch will just be wiring the two pins together...- Loggato

My Mechanic Could Have Killed Me
Like most, I've done a lot of brake jobs... Unlike most, I've done it wrong more time than I've done it right (and that's based strongly on other peoples opinions on what is "right"". However, when I do something the wrong way, I make sure to do it carefully and have NEVER had a brake job gone... -
Slant six has no spark!
My first guess was ballast resistor.. My duster has a slant, and the ballast resistor even has a chunk broken off of it.. still works! But I have heard that it is a common fault problem.- Loggato

Total loss of power when towing
Think about it. 7000 lbs plus a 6000 lb truck.. that is A LOT for the 5.7. mine struggled to pull a car on a trailer that was close to 6000 lbs.. it was still capable of doing the speed limit, but it took a while to get there and you had to plan ahead. Did some towing the other day...
I'm fortunate that the truck is so heavy because it does make for great towing stability... those stupid Uhaul trailers make you put the vehicle all the way forward which adds to the tongue weight, otherwise we would have balanced it out better. Did some towing the other day...
Drove down to Waco to grab this Passat TDI last Friday for a friend. Drove down without a trailer, rented the Uhaul and then loaded the car and towed it home. I knew those Uhauls were heavy, but with that car on there, It struggled! Uhaul says their trailers weigh 2200, which is at least 700...- Loggato

Good Day everyone! I've had my 06 2500 for about 6 months now and have slowly been updating some things on it. The most obvious issue it had was terribly yellowed headlights. One even had impact webbing in it and they both had moisture in them. Like most people, I'm all for saving a buck...- Loggato
