Anyone have any input on their gas saving technology? They say that you get 4 cylinder capabilities if you flip a switch or I guess if it detects that it only needs 4 cylinders (like on a long highway drive). I don't know how it works is it automatic or do you have to flip a switch?
And my...
I really want a Cummins. I asked a lot of questions and got plenty of great answers from you folks.
So to sum it all up........if I get a Cummins and I get the DPF removed (and I think there was one more thing that needs to be removed I forget what it is)........ is that the "cure all"...
Tell me what you like and don't like about your 2500 Hemi.
Not PowerWagons though, I already know they are awesome. Just talking about the others like the
Laramie or Longhorn Laramie. Or even Big Horn.
This should only take you ten minutes to read, if that. Please read it and let me know what you think. How much would all of this cost? Who could do this for me should I decide to go this route (how to find a good shop that would do all this). Also tell me if you like the idea of doing this...
I know that tire wear depends on many different factors. So this is just a survey of how often you tend to have to replace all 4 of your tires.
For me, 30,000 miles.
I am of the opinion that you will NOT ever get pulled over for having, say, a Flowmaster exhaust. Am I right to assume that? So long as you are not driving like an idiot, the police usually don't pay any mind to a Flowmaster exhaust right?
Things like performance headers, a lift kit of say, 6...
If you have a 2005 Ram Power Wagon and you get performance exhaust, performance headers, cold air intake, and a Bullydog power programmer.....will any of that effect your motor vehicle inspection?
I know the main thing they do is check your emissions at the inspection.
Hey folks. I am sure almost none of you remember me. It has been a long, long time since I posted here.
Long story short, my life situation has changed. Without getting into details, I will never be able to afford a 2012 Power Wagon (don't like the '13's). It will be quite some time before I...
My tail light was cracked open but no damage to the actual bulbs. Just the outside cover is damaged. The case that holds the bulbs has no damage. Would I need a whole new entire tail light/ bulbs and all?
I am not the type of guy to go hunting for a tail light at a salvage yard. I just want...
I took a road trip recently and rented a Durango. It was 16 city/ 24 highway. It got me thinking.......I really do like decent MPG's! For the longest time I thought "ah who cares about mileage. I want me a truck." Now I am thinking a truck CAN have decent mileage. The new Ram 1500 V6 has good...
A guy down the street has a real nice looking Ram 1500. The color would be called "sterling grey" if it were a ford, I dont know what the Ram equivalent is. And I see that he has a real nice set of rims. The only way I know how to describe them is going back to my '87 Mustang GT days when "Five...
I WANT a freaking Power Wagon. But my brain tells me that I should just get a 1500, maybe an Outdoorsman.
I have been mulling over it for months and although the 1500 is a nice looking, rugged, sweet ride.... I just can not get the 2500 Power Wagon out of my head and heart. I want it...
Just curious which truck you prefer. If you are driving 10k miles a year, I figure you are spending $500 more on gas per year in a 2500 than a 1500.
My question for you is......do you find the extra money is worth it to get into a 2500?
The 2500 looks more rugged and a little sexier IMO...
I am a fan of the Hella type front grille bar lights. Unfortunately we have to put on light covers on them and we can't use them. So it seems to be a "looks thing" only. Unless I am missing something.
When do you use them? Besides just for a test run in the woods once in a million years.
I love the look of these camo bumper coverings. I wonder how hard it is to put on, have to do cutting around the openings of the truck, put it on without wrinkles. Anyone ever do one of these? If so can you tell me exactly how you did it/ what was involved?

If I lease a brand new truck it comes out to about $9,200 per year for 3 years with downpayment, trade in, and montly payment.
If I finance an '11 truck it comes down to about $9,500 per year for 4 years when it is all said and done.
If I lease I have nothing at the end of the 3 years. If...
How much of a lift do you need to fit 33's? What about to fit 35's?
What is the ride quality like as opposed to regular stock tires? Is it that much worse? And I know fuel economy must suffer a little bit right?
Any drawbacks to having bigger tires? Any pluses (besides looks, of course).
Is it true only the 6.7's come with the DPF?
So if that's the case, why don't I just get a 5.9?
If that's not the case then why don't I just get an '06?
For those of you who don't know my posts.......I only drive 16 miles to work and another 16 miles home with mostly city and some...
First question do you think that this particular truck would look better with black plasti dip bumpers and front grille?

2nd Question how come everyone hates chrome? LOL, I am just wondering.
When I get my Power Wagon I would like to add some step in bars or step in boards.
But I am wondering why the PW don't come with 'em. Is there some sort of reason I am not thinking about.........like are they bad for off roading?
