My truck has been running great til last night..I pulled in the drive and it sputtered and died. And will not start. It will attempt to start with sum starting fluid. Under the hood I noticed in the wire harness at the back on the drivers side the wires are very brittle. Could this be my problem? I haven't had the truck long and I have noticed who ever had it before May have half-assed any work that was done on it ...there is also a vac line on the passenger side by the HVAC that's just hanging there. Any ideas where it might go and could this be my problem? ANY INSIGHT APPRECIATED

There is no easy button answer with the limited information you provided.

If it tries to run on starting fluid, then I’d suspect a fueling issue. Is there some fuel in the tank? Is there a fuel filter, and if so, could it be clogged? Is the fuel pump working?
