Just wanted to show the difference between the 2018 media hubs. One on top came with my Express and didn’t support CarPlay.

Had to disassemble the jump seat console to get past the foam and undo the push clips. I couldn’t remove the hub by pulling like the retainer clips.

I’ve got a 2018 VP2 + bezel for sale. No scratches. Just trying to find the code for it. I upgraded to a 2018 4C Nav

Did you have to completely tear down the jump seat to get the hub out. Like upholstery and all? I have a new tray insert coming but want to hook up the new media hub in the meantime, but dont want to tear all down until I get the replacement.

Not a complete tear down. For the jump seat, I took out the cupholders, armrest/lid, and pulled back most of the fabric. Fabric has plastic edge trim that fits in/out of a groove. Then I loosened the foam and changed the hubs.

When I put the fabric back on, I noticed tiny arrows where the cupholders go. I used the arrows to line everything up. You'll see it. It was easy and CarPlay is awesome.

Hey which part number for the hub? And did you get the wire harness adapter from someone here?

I have a 2020 Ram Warlock and I just installed a 8.4 UAS with CarPlay. It appears I might be have the same issue you did with the hub that is that my hub is not supporting CarPlay. Do I need this harness you posted a link for? Where did you purchase the hub?
Im willing to bet @Mpgrimm2 would be able to provide you more insight on what you need.

I have a 2014 Laramie and just upgraded to an UAQ radio. I purchased a harness from M2Mods and so far things are working fine. I did have to change my media hub. I do not use CarPlay instead I use AA. The question I have though is that my hub is similar to the bottom on in the pictures above. However from the back mine is line the hub at the top. I only have 1 USB port at the back. Are there different ones?

I have the hub in the upper picture in my 19 classic express and am planning to upgrade to UAS or UAQ. I think I read somewhere that the one I have will support Android Auto but not Carplay. Can anyone verify that and if so will the other port still play music from a usb stick or just charge a device?

Got my radio installed and got my answer. The standard hub in the upper position of the first picture does support Android Auto on the left port but not the right port. The left port also supports music from a usb stick but the right port does not so I guess the right side is only for charging devices....
