Slant Six
My 81 W150.

Currently, it's a slant 6, np435, np208, with 4.56 gears, lunchbox lockers front and back.

The slant six is dedicated propane, with 10.5:1 compression, cam, distributorless ignition timed by a Megajolt Plus Jr. It has stainless valves, bronze guides, hardened seats intake and exhaust. It carries 65 gallons of propane. Electric fan, solid aluminum radiator.

Future plans are to replace the np435 with a Getrag 238, raise it two inches with a rear shackle flip, remove the spacer block, and inverted u-bolts, and a kit in front with longer shackles and a relocated and braced front spring mount.

It has a 100+ amp alternator and the front bumper is custom built for a winch (no winch yet, not until I get done and ready to use it again).

It is going to get turbocharged and some bodywork done (hopefully find the right grille for the front) and perhaps an a/c kit (or factory A/C transplant).

It has 3rd gen factory aluminum 16in wheels and will be shod with 265/75-16 treadwrights.

The purpose for this truck will be for backcountry exploration from northern Idaho to the Arizona and California deserts, the high country of Colorado, the empty red deserts of Utah and the wide open backcountry of Montana and Wyoming.

It has a range of nearly 700 miles when not towing, on a tank of fuel.
