Hey everyone, I got my Ram 2500 V8 with a Dana 60 front axle. I put on a level requiring an alignment, so i ran it through the checker at work to see how bad I threw it off. Well, its toed in pretty good, no biggie though. Obviously thats not hard to fix. Camber on the LF wheel is fine, however i have negative camber on the RF wheel. How much its off, im not sure, but its definetely noticeable just by looking at it. The axle doesnt look bent or anything. The front end is tight (especially balljoints, no play in em).

How can you adjust camber on these axles? I read something about a tapered shim that you do something with. Anyone run into this problem before?

My camber is bad to but I have a bent housing lol. I tried those adjustable shims and they will set the wheel straight but if it had to much negative camber then it has a terrible angle on the balljoint because that's how it adjusts it. It also adjusts the caster at the same time. You might can try one because I believe they would work if it was only 1-2 degrees but mine were like 5-6

I looked in there and it looks like the upper joint has a shim in it. I didnt look at the drivers side joint to check that one though.

Yeah, up there. Let me go see if theres one on the drivers side.

Did you install one of those? How hard was it? I mean obviously i can get it down to the balljoints no prob but how do you get the shim in there and adjust it?

I installed these exact ones. It should have it on both sides and you should replace both of them just in case. But all you do is get the hub/bearing/rotor assembly off to just the Knuckle. Then undo the upper balljoint nut and use a chisel and hammer to pry and lift the old shim out of the C and off of the balljoint. Then the new one gets inserted halfway and you put a wrench on the top and adjust it until wheel looks straight then hammer it down, then put the nut back on and take to a shop lol. I never took to shop because I realized my. Housing was bent. I'll post a pic of my camber angle so you know if it would be worth it to put them in. If you angle is less then mine I say go for it.
This is a very old picture of my truck lol. The first one I posted on my thread over a year ago haha

Mine is about like that but the top of the wheel is farther to the outside of the truck than the bottom.
