I did a little research on the forum but didn't come across what I am looking for. I use to tow with an F150 but moved up to a Ram 3500. However, I am not sure if I will need air bags for my planned trips. My plan is to haul my motorcycle in the bed (8' box) and tow my TT. The RAM cargo capacity is 4,251 lbs. The TT tongue weight is about 750 lbs. The motorcycle ramp plus bike in the bed will be about 1,000 lbs or so. It seem like I will have plenty of bandwidth to play with but concerned if I will see any sag. I would rather make adjustments now rather than leaving for 2 months and finding I needed to add additional suspension/support.

I appreciate any feedback.

Other comments hold true as long as you didn't do a "level" suspension mod. Stock suspension and ride height though & you'll be good.

I wouldn't put bags on a 3500, there's really not many personal-use trailers out there (unless you're into a front-living fifth wheel or a toy hauler) that will push a 3500 SRW to its limits. Since you're talking a motorcycle and a lightweight travel trailer, you have more than enough truck for the job - you'd have probably been fine with a 2500 but there's no doubt with a 3500 you'll be good to go.

Thought about a 2500 but no idea about future trailers so I figured, a 3500 will work. First Dodge/Ram for me. Always been a Ford man but liking the Ram a lot.

I was once a Ford guy, and I do still like them. However, I have found that both in my old PowerWagon and the new truck (and even the wife's new 1500 vs her F150), the seats are more comfortable in the Ram. Which, when you're on the road a lot like I am, is pretty important.
