AlfaOBD and Android question

I'm just gathering the things I need to start using AlfaOBD. I have had an Iphone for the past 5 or 6 years, but I do have an old Samsung Galaxy S3 kicking around. Will this do the job, or do I need to buy a more current model, like an S6 or S7. I'd rather not have to buy another phone if I don't have to.

You should be just fine Mark.
In my videos I use my old G2.
Thay thing was built in 2012 and it still works! lol
