Hello everyone,
New to this forum, I'll start with a question that may seem simple but is starting to drive me crazy not knowing what is generating the situation. My truck is a 2008 1500 with 3.7 liter v6 engine and manual transmission, The beast now has 246000 miles. Obviously it has its share of problems, and the dashboard lights shine brighter than the headlights.
But mechanically, it runs well. I have, however, had one irritant for some time. When I'm in first gear and I start to drive off, I get a Bing-type ringtone that goes off just once. But it does it every time I stop and restart. If I start up in second gear, the bing doesn't happen.
Have any of you ever encountered this situation and if so, have you been able to find the reason?
