CarPlay update 2017?

I was just wondering if anybody knew for sure if the 2017 ram 1500 is, or ever will be compatible with CarPlay? I find articles on the web claim mean 2017 models are compatible, but so far I think that is wrong. I did a search but I have not found anything recent sorry if this is a repeated question. I’m just trying to determine if I’m wasting my time trying to figure it out. Thanks in advance.

No the 13-17 ram RAx radios do not have the hardware to support AA/CP.

Your options are to swap it for a 2018 ram UAx radio and USB hub that supports it or go with an aftermarket setup using an idatalink maestro/compatible radio & hub
