I'm trying to decide what shocks to get with the 7 inch cst kit, does anybody know how the ride will be with the cst shocks? I'll end up getting the new lifted coil springs and I know they will be stiffer than the stock ones, so I want to go with a more ride friendly shock.

Advice or input?

cst's ride great from what ive heard, so do the pro comp 9000s i have the ranchos right now that are for a 2500 and they ride allitle rough but not to bad, the CST shock is a re labeled fox shock, and i will be getting some soon they are pricey but worth it since they are like fox. the only bilstein you can run without modifications is the stock ones for 2500s and they are ugly yellow thats why i didnt get them lol

i talked to some of the guys at performance lifts who have installed the lifts many times and have seen and installed abunch of the cst kits, they told me about the cst shox being fox or alot like them. and the bilstein will ride decent but the problem is they are designed for a 2500 truck so being a lighter truck it may not ride the best.

I don't think so, I can't find any threads about a cst lift on this forum, maybe go check out another forum or two to see bc there has to be somebody out there

i have a buddy who ran the pro comps said they were ok nothing great, and i have the 7'' cst with rancho front shocks for a 2500 and any shock thats designed for a 2500 isnt going to ride the best and thats the only bilstein available for your application up front so id definantly go CST up front and you can run any bilstein in the rear if you want the front has limited options

I just had my 14' Ram 1500 lifted 7" with 35's. I noticed the front shocks are stock. After looking at CST's website they suggest you use stock height shocks despite the lift in the front. My rears are CST's. I wouldn't use Bilsteins 2500 Ram shocks. Your truck is not heavy enough for those shocks to give you a comfortable ride. Those Bilsteins will give you a real rough ride. Instead of rolling through potholes and bumps, it will feel like your front end is slamming on everything.

Check out Maxtrac's Bilstein front shocks

and NEVER run longer than stock front shocks, will cause damage
