Damage to tailgate plastic top cap

Hi first time poster here. I damaged the tailgate top plastic cover on my RAM 1500 and was wondering if you have any suggestions if it can be repaired. I thought of trying to fill the dents before replacing the whole top cover. Thanks in advance for your help.

use extra Double Sided Tape, especially on the ends

The pink line is double sided tape

Buy replacement piece from wrecker. Save it till you are done beating on this one. Replace prior to selling. It's a pickup!!!!
